Unfortunately, the chances of seeing Fleetwood Mac have gotten even slimmer.\u00a0Stevie Nicks<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>revealed that she doesn\u2019t foresee the band getting back together following the 2022 death of\u00a0Christine McVie<\/strong><\/a>. Stevie, 76, hadn\u2019t spoken about the band\u2019s future following Christine\u2019s death until a new interview with\u00a0Mojo\u00a0<\/em>was published on Tuesday, June 18.<\/p>\n

After discussing Christine\u2019s passing<\/a>, Stevie got around to whether the band would be able to perform following the loss of their keyboard player. \u201cWithout Christine, no one can do,\u201d she told Mojo<\/em><\/a>. \u201cThere is no chance of putting Fleetwood Mac back together in any way. Without her, it just couldn\u2019t work.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fleetwood Mac\u2019s final concert was in November 2019 at San Francisco\u2019s Oracle Park as part of the UCSF Benioff Children\u2019s Hospital Benefit. The band had undergone a wide range of lineup changes throughout their career, but the classic lineup is usually considered to include Stevie, Christine,\u00a0Lindsey Buckingham, Mick Fleetwood<\/strong>, and Christine\u2019s ex-husband\u00a0John McVie<\/strong>. Lindsey left the band after their most recent reunion in 2018.<\/p>\n

Before Christine\u2019s death from a stroke at 79 in 2022, Stevie admitted that she had plans to fly out to go see her. She admitted that Christine\u2019s family had advised her not to take the trip, because they weren\u2019t sure how much longer she would live. She admitted to having some regrets about not seeing her friend in her final days. \u201cI wanted to go there and sit on her bed and sing to her \u2013 which definitely would have made her pass away faster,\u201d she quipped. \u201d I needed to be with her. And I didn\u2019t get to do that. So that was very hard for me. I didn\u2019t get to say goodbye.\u201d<\/p>\n

Following Christine\u2019s death, Stevie released a statement<\/a> on social media to pay tribute to her. \u201cShe was the best musician anyone could have in their band and the best friend anyone could have in their life. We were so lucky to have a life with her. Individually and together, we cherished Christine deeply and are thankful for the amazing memories we have. She will be so missed,\u201d she wrote in part.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
