Jodie Turner-Smith<\/strong><\/a> has no ill will toward her estranged husband, Joshua Jackson<\/strong><\/a>, or his girlfriend<\/a>, Lupita Nyong\u2019o<\/strong><\/a>. During a new interview, the Queen & Slim<\/em> actress, 37, was asked about her feelings on the couple\u2019s blossoming romance since Jodie and Joshua, 46, are still going through a divorce<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cGood for them,\u201d Jodie told The Cut<\/em> <\/a>in an interview published on June 14. \u201cWe need happiness in order to peacefully co-parent. \u2026 \u00a0I truly hope they\u2019re happy and that it benefits us as a family.\u201d<\/p>\n

She then compared her and the Fatal Attraction<\/em> series alum to another celebrity couple\u2019s co-parenting relationship. \u201cI\u2019m trying to get us to the Gwyneth<\/strong> [Paltrow<\/strong>]<\/a> and Chris Martin<\/strong><\/a> level,\u201d Jodie added.<\/p>\n

Throughout her interview, Jodie reflected on how her marriage to Joshua fell apart. The two tied the knot in 2019 and welcomed their child, Juno Rose<\/a>, in 2020. In October 2023, Jodie filed for divorce from Joshua after four years of marriage.<\/p>\n

While speaking to the publication, Jodie revealed the reason<\/a> behind her and Joshua\u2019s split: they are on \u201cdifferent paths.\u201d She also remembered the moment they made red carpet debut as a couple, with Jodie noting that it felt like her name was tied down to Joshua\u2019s. In 2019, Joshua asked Jodie if she wanted to take a photo with him at the premiere of her Queen & Slim, <\/em>she told the publication.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt all came from a really innocent place,\u201d Jodie pointed out. \u201cI didn\u2019t understand how sinister that could end up being for me. It was taking away from a moment that I needed to have on my own. It opened up a very painful conversation to the world about who I was with and how right or wrong it was to be with that person. And when you\u2019re pregnant, it\u2019s like the most vulnerable time of your life.\u201d<\/p>\n

As for the biggest takeaway she took from her relationship with the Dr. Death<\/em> alum, the Acolyte<\/em> actress admitted that sharing personal details with the public can be detrimental.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you\u2019re in the public eye, a part of you belongs to the public,\u201d Jodie concluded. \u201cIt stops being yours and becomes theirs too. I didn\u2019t have an accurate scope of understanding what it would mean to share my relationship with the public. It\u2019s something I will never do again. Ever. That is one major lesson that I took away from this, which is just that people don\u2019t need to know everything.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
