Michael Cera<\/a><\/strong> debuted a new hairdo that really had \u201cKenergy\u201d at the 2024 Tribeca Film Festival in New York City on Saturday, June 8.<\/span><\/p>\n

The 36-year-old was snapped on the red carpet of the <\/span>Sacramento <\/span><\/i>premiere in a cream sweatshirt, blue dress pants, dress shoes, and topped off with red-tinted sunglasses.<\/span><\/p>\n

The originally brown-haired actor has been channeling his inner <\/span>Barbie<\/i><\/a> vibes in recent events, especially during the premiere of the film last year where he matched with Ryan Gosling<\/a><\/strong> in an all-pink suit.<\/span><\/p>\n

Michael \u2014 who played the role of Allan, a discontinued Mattel doll \u00a0in the film \u2014 has enjoyed forming part of the all-pink world. He recalled his audition story during an interview with GQ <\/em>last year, noting, \u201cIt was a kind of very last-minute casting\u2026My manager got a call checking on my availability for it, and he called me and he said, \u2018I got a call about this movie. It\u2019s the Barbie<\/em> movie. Greta Gerwig\u2019s<\/a><\/strong> directing it, and it\u2019s filming in London for four months or something, so I told them you probably wouldn\u2019t want to do it because you probably don\u2019t want to go to London.\u2019\u2026I was like, \u2018What! Call them back!\u2019 He didn\u2019t like blow it or anything, but he\u2019s like, \u2018I managed their expectations that you might not want to do it.\u2019 I was like, \u2018How can I not do it? I need to do it!’\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He added, \u201cI somehow got Greta\u2019s email address, I think through a common friend of ours, and I emailed her like, \u2018Can I be in it? Can I do that part?\u2019\u2026And she was like, \u2018Let\u2019s get on a Zoom right now. Here\u2019s a Zoom link, I\u2019ll be on there for the next hour.\u2019 So she was just hanging out on the Zoom, like, \u2018Click the link whenever you\u2019re ready.\u2019 And then we talked about it, and it just all happened really fast from there.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Since then, he swooned over viewers with his hilarious \u201csad person\u201d persona. \u201cHe\u2019s [Allan]\u00a0 just a person that doesn\u2019t really have any place in the world\u2026It just wasn\u2019t selling. The world just didn\u2019t need for Ken to have a friend\u2026 Barbie is good, we can get a lot more Barbies in here, and friends of hers. But we\u2019ve got Ken, and we don\u2019t need to go deeper in that direction. So Allan fell by the wayside a little bit,\u201d he told the outlet.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
