Abbi Jacobson<\/strong> and Jodi Balfour<\/strong> are officially married! The Broad City<\/em> actress, 40, and the Ted Lasso<\/em> alum, 37, revealed they tied the knot during a new interview with Cultured<\/em><\/a> magazine, published on Wednesday, June 5.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter so much distance, we wanted the wedding to feel like that first sweaty shoulder moment \u2014 total togetherness,\u201d Jodi said about their intimate wedding ceremony. \u201cI think we did that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Although the rain pushed them to move their wedding indoors, Jodi noted, \u201cIt was such kismet because the ceremony was not what we expected, but it was exactly what we\u2019d hoped for. People were packed together. When we looked out at the audience, our friends were on stools, peeking through the plants, and sitting on top of the booths. I\u2019ve never been to a wedding like that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jodi followed up by sharing an Instagram<\/a> carousel post from her and Abbi\u2019s nuptials, which took place at Public Records in New York City.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe got married!\u201d she captioned the post.<\/p>\n

During her interview with the magazine, Jodi further explained that she and Abbi virtually met in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. That year, the For All Mankind<\/em> star lost a sibling and went through a breakup.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a watershed year for me in many ways,\u201d Jodi said, before noting that meeting Abbi \u201cfelt like the pinnacle of a long-overdue step in my own evolution.\u201d<\/p>\n

After they met in person at Abbi\u2019s Los Angeles home, Jodi revealed she \u201cmade\u201d her wife \u201cwalk outside to the backyard by herself so I could have a moment to say to myself, [to say] \u2018Oh God, I\u2019m in love.’\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI had a very complex theory about my own relationship to romance,\u201d Jodi admitted. \u201cThen, I saw Abbi standing just outside her front door and I thought, \u2018Oh, I love this person. Cool.’\u201d<\/p>\n

While recalling their engagement, Jodi pointed out that she was on location in London, but Abbi flew out to meet her with a toy ring in hand.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were both crying,\u201d Jodi revealed, before adding what she said to the comedian. \u201c\u2018You little s**t, I have a ring for you, too.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
