The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 have undergone testing for FCC certification and that offers a peek at what\u2019s coming. The phones were tested for compliance with 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC and wireless power regulations, the Fold also has UWB, apparently.<\/p>\n

However, neither phone was tested for Wi-Fi 7 connectivity, only Wi-Fi 6 (ax, including the 6GHz band). The 2023 models arrived relatively early for Wi-Fi 7 support, so the omission was understandable, not so much for the 2024 models.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s something interesting, the lab tested the Galaxy Z Fold6 in closed, half opened and fully opened configurations. This changes the positioning of the MIMO antennas, so it is a necessary check.<\/p>\n

\"Samsung<\/p>\n

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 has two batteries<\/a> \u2013 a main cell with 2,790mAh rated capacity and a secondary one with 1,097mAh capacity. This adds up to 3,887mAh rated capacity. This is more than the 3,591mAh of the Z Flip5 (which has a 3,700mAh typical capacity).<\/p>\n

Both phones were tested with 25W wired and 15W wireless chargers. What, you didn\u2019t think that Samsung would increase the charge rates, did you? Anyway, Samsung hasn\u2019t picked a date for the Galaxy Unpacked event yet, but that should happen fairly soon.<\/p>\n
