Selma Blair<\/a><\/strong> made a presence with her service dog Scout as her plus one to the Tribeca Film Festival on Wednesday, June 5. The 51-year-old strutted down the carpet in a black dress and matching heels with her loyal companion guiding the way.<\/span><\/p>\n

Despite being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis back in 2018, the <\/span>Legally Blonde <\/span><\/i>actress expressed in an interview with <\/span>People <\/span><\/i>back in May, \u201cHe\u2019s [Scout] with me all the time. If I fall into a big [muscle] spasm or have some trouble moving and need to recalibrate, he can get between my legs, help me get up, and balance me\u2026It\u2019s given me a lot of independence.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to the immense support Scout provides to the Cruel Intentions\u00a0<\/em>actress, he also plays a significant role in the family. \u201cMy son, when he goes to his dad\u2019s, he loves knowing Scout is by my side, and I didn\u2019t realize he had concerns about my mobility or safety,\u201d she shared.<\/span><\/p>\n

In Wednesday\u2019s outing, Selma attended the festival in support of the film <\/span>Diane Von Furstenburg: Woman in Charge.<\/span><\/i> \u201cGosh, I look up to <\/span>Paulina Porizkova<\/a><\/strong> very much. She\u2019s a dear friend and beautiful. <\/span>Diane Von Furstenberg<\/a><\/strong>, really, because of staying power, always staying classic. There\u2019s so many,\u201d she said on the red carpet.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s ones from my childhood I can\u2019t help but always be thrilled [about], like <\/span>Lauren Hutton<\/a><\/strong> and <\/span>Ashley Olsen<\/strong><\/span><\/a> and <\/span>Mary-Kate Olsen<\/strong><\/span><\/a>\u2026The ones that were the fun mysteries will always be adored. I love anyone with staying power no matter what their style,\u201d Selma added.<\/span><\/p>\n

Aside from a very typical Hollywood night, she is a judge at the Tribeca Film Festival for the 2024 Nora Ephron Award. According to the press release, the victor will \u201chonor the spirit and vision of the legendary filmmaker and writer.\u201d In addition to Selma, David O. Russell, Asghar Farhadi, Kim Cattrall<\/a><\/strong>, Chinonye Chukwu<\/a><\/strong>, Nisha Pahuja<\/strong>, Nikyatu Jusu<\/strong>, Sheila Nevins<\/strong>, Francesca Scorsese<\/a><\/strong>, Clara McGregor <\/a><\/strong>, and more.<\/span><\/p>\n
