Dakota Fanning<\/strong><\/a> and Tom Cruise<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s on-screen father-daughter relationship carried on after wrapping War of the Worlds<\/em>. During a recent appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show<\/em><\/a>, the 30-year-old actress revealed that her former co-star, 61, gave her an iconic gift while they worked together on the 2005 sci-fi movie.<\/p>\n

\u201cI turned 11 on War of the Worlds<\/em> when we worked together, and he gave me my first cellphone for that birthday,\u201d Dakota explained on the Tuesday, June 5, episode, before revealing which phone Tom gifted her. \u201cIt was a Motorola Razor.\u201d<\/p>\n

Although the Twilight<\/em> star \u201cdidn\u2019t have anyone to call\u201d when she was an 11-year-old rising star, Dakota admitted she had wanted a Motorola Razor \u201cso bad,\u201d adding that she \u201cmust have been talking about it a lot\u201d around the Mission: Impossible<\/em> actor.<\/p>\n

\u201cI must have been talking about it a lot because that\u2019s what he got me. It was such a great memory,\u201d Dakota gushed.<\/p>\n

The birthday presents didn\u2019t stop when she was 11, though. Dakota revealed that, since then, Tom has sent her birthday gifts every year \u2014 and it\u2019s the same one every time.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe always sends me the same thing every year, after the cellphone,\u201d she added. \u201cI loved shoes when I was little, and I started to be able to fit into really small adult shoes when I was on the War of the Worlds<\/em> press tour, so I was very excited about them. And so, from that birthday on, he always sends me shoes.\u201d<\/p>\n
