During a live question-and-answer session hosted on Twitch, anchor Geoff Keighley stated that there would not be new footage of the highly-anticipated game so soon after its previous trailer in May.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.summergamefest.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Summer Games Fest<\/a> is scheduled to take place from June 7 to June 10, featuring showcases from Xbox and <a href=\"https:\/\/readwrite.com\/ubisoft-forward-livestream-announced-time-when-how-to-watch-e3-summer-game-fest\/\">Ubisoft Forward<\/a>. For the longest time, fans of the franchise were left completely in the dark regarding any form of release date for what could be Rockstar\u2019s magnum opus. However, thanks to the official trailer, it is expected to be released in Q1 2025, but this has not stopped gamers from wanting more details about GTA 6.<\/p>\n<p><noscript><iframe title=\"Summer Game Fest 2024: Geoff&#039;s Trailer (Watch Live Show This Friday in 4K!)\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/FZ2Clscn0Jg?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/noscript><\/p>\n<h2>What games will be included at the Summer Games Fest?<\/h2>\n<p>Keighley confirmed that the upcoming event will include updates on existing games like <a href=\"https:\/\/readwrite.com\/palworld-hype-train-rolls-on-game-is-now-biggest-third-party-launch-on-xbox-game-pass-ever\/\">Palworld<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/readwrite.com\/embracer-group-to-split-into-three-standalone-entities\/\">Kingdom Come 2: Deliverance<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Audiences can also expect trailers for games that have already been announced, such as Supermarket Simulator, <a href=\"https:\/\/readwrite.com\/playstation-state-of-play-may-2024-trailers-videos-announcements-everything\/\">Monster Hunter Wilds<\/a>, Metaphor: Refantazio, <a href=\"https:\/\/readwrite.com\/new-batman-arkhams-shadow-comes-to-meta-quest-3\/\">Batman: Arkham VR<\/a>, and Dragon Ball Sparking! ZERO. He also mentioned that there will be content from Blumhouse Games and a new trailer for the Among Us animated series.<\/p>\n<h2>What games will not be included at the Summer Games Fest?<\/h2>\n<p>However, the games that won\u2019t be there include <a href=\"https:\/\/readwrite.com\/kingdom-hearts-is-finally-coming-to-steam\/\">Kingdom Hearts 4<\/a>, The Wolf Among Us 2, <a href=\"https:\/\/readwrite.com\/metal-gear-solid-3-start-menu-teased\/\">Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/readwrite.com\/judas-release-date-trailers-platforms-and-everything-we-know\/\">Judas<\/a>, Beyond Good and Evil 2, <a href=\"https:\/\/readwrite.com\/some-of-steams-2023-best-of-lists-might-surprise-you\/\">Five Nights at Freddy\u2019s<\/a>, and Hollow Knight: Silksong.<\/p>\n<p>Keighley didn\u2019t explicitly mention that <a href=\"https:\/\/readwrite.com\/nintendo-announces-indie-showcase\/\">Nintendo<\/a> would be absent from this showcase, but he did discuss Nintendo\u2019s consistent absence from Summer Game Fest, despite their historical interest in The Game Awards.<\/p>\n<p>He also mentioned that this year is quieter regarding AAA releases, though there is still excitement for smaller titles.
