The third installment of the Knives Out<\/em> franchise is in pre-production, as casting news has made the rounds on social media. Original star Daniel Craig<\/strong><\/a> is expected to reprise his role as detective Benoit Blanc, and a projected release date has already been revealed.<\/p>\n

What Is \u2018Knives Out 3\u2019 About?<\/h2>\n

Per Netflix<\/a>, the ending of the second film, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery<\/em>, \u201ccould also be seen as a beginning.\u201d However, the platform only provided a vague description of the storyline.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s right, Daniel Craig is back as the suave Southern investigator in Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery<\/em>, a new installment of the whodunnit franchise written and directed by Rian Johnson,\u201d Netflix revealed. \u201cBlanc will be unraveling a brand-new murder mystery in an as-yet-undisclosed setting, surrounded by a new colorful cast of suspects.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rian also dropped a teaser clip to X (formerly known as Twitter) on May 24, 2024. \u201cThe next Benoit Blanc mystery, the follow-up to Knives Out<\/em> and Glass Onion,<\/em> is called Wake Up Dead Man<\/em>,\u201d he tweeted.<\/p>\n

Netflix revealed that the third movie is set to reach the platform \u201cglobally in 2025.\u201d However, a specific day and month to stream it have not yet been unveiled.<\/p>\n

Who Is in the \u2018Knives Out 3\u2019 Cast?<\/h2>\n

In addition to Daniel, the third Knives Out<\/em> film has a star-studded cast: Glenn Close, Josh Brolin, Kerry Washington<\/a>, Mila Kunis<\/a>, Josh O\u2019Connor, Andrew Scott, Cailee Spaeny<\/a>, Daryl McCormack<\/strong> and Jeremy Renner<\/strong><\/a>.
