The new movie will focus in on the making of one of his most popular albums, and it will chronicle a pivotal moment in the \u201cBorn in the U.S.A.\u201d singer\u2019s career.<\/p>\n

When Does \u2018Deliver Me From Nowhere\u2019 Come Out?<\/h2>\n

No official release date has been set for\u00a0Deliver Me From Nowhere\u00a0<\/em>just yet. It was announced that the film was in the works in April 2024. Disney Live Action and 20th Century Studios President\u00a0David Greenbaum\u00a0<\/strong>made the announcement in a statement. \u201cIt is a once-in-a-lifetime honor to be collaborating with Bruce Springsteen, an inspiring and incomparable artist who represents so much to so many,\u201d he said in a statement, via\u00a0BruceSpringsteen.net<\/em><\/a>. \u201cThe deep authenticity of his story is in great hands with my friend Scott Cooper whom I am thrilled to be collaborating with once again.\u201d<\/p>\n

Who Is in \u2018Deliver Me From Nowhere\u2019?<\/h2>\n

As it was revealed in David\u2019s statement, writer and director\u00a0Scott Cooper\u00a0<\/strong>was on board to pen the screenplay and direct the film. Scott has previously worked on movies like\u00a0Crazy Heart\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Hostiles<\/em>. With the announcement, the director shared his excitement to be at the helm of the picture. \u201cBruce Springsteen, and\u00a0Nebraska<\/em>, in particular, have had a profound impact on me and my work. Through themes of despair, disillusionment, and the struggles of everyday Americans, Bruce has formed an unparalleled legacy, painting an unflinching portrait of the human condition. Yet, amidst the darkness, a sense of resilience and a sense of hope shines through, reflecting an indomitable spirit. That\u2019s the Bruce I\u2019ve come to know and love and will honor with this film,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Aside from Scott, the biggest question that every fan will have is certainly: who will play The Boss? With the announcement of the movie, it was reported that\u00a0The Bear\u00a0<\/em>star\u00a0Jeremy Allen White<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>was in talks to play Bruce. While it\u2019s not clear what other characters (like the rest of The E Street band) will make appearances, it was reported that\u00a0Jeremy Strong\u00a0<\/strong>of\u00a0Succession\u00a0<\/em>fame was in talks to play Bruce\u2019s longtime manager and friend\u00a0Jon Landau<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The real-life Landua shared his support for the project in a statement, endorsing Scott Cooper as the director. \u201cBruce and I are thrilled that Scott Cooper has chosen to write and direct the film based on that book \u2013 we think he\u2019s the perfect filmmaker for the job,\u201d he said. \u201cWe\u2019re thrilled to have the wholehearted commitment and support of the entire team at 20th and Disney.\u201d<\/p>\n
