Megan Thee Stallion<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>is getting everybody ready for a \u201cHot Girl Summer.\u201d The rapper, 29, announced that her new record, simply titled\u00a0Megan,\u00a0<\/em>is coming very soon. Fans have been eager\u00a0 for Megan to drop a new record for two years, since her last album\u00a0Traumazine\u00a0<\/em>came out back in 2022.<\/p>\n

The record also comes as Megan is in the midst of her \u201cHot Girl Summer\u201d world tour with\u00a0GloRilla\u00a0<\/strong>opening. While the tour will wrap up after the album comes out, it\u2019s not clear if she\u2019ll be shaking up the setlist and adding any new songs from the record into her lineup.\u00a0Hollywood Life\u00a0<\/strong>has all of the details about the upcoming record here!<\/p>\n

When Does \u2018Megan\u2019 Come Out?<\/h2>\n

Megan announced that her self-titled record will be coming out on June 28 in a short Instagram post on Sunday, June 2. She simply posted the album artwork and the announcement, with the message \u201cSURPRISE HOTTIESSSS!!!!\u201d<\/p>\n

The album artwork features Megan in what looks like a lab. She\u2019s popping out of a cocoon with butterfly wings seen on the outside shell of the chrysalis. An illustration of her hanging out of the bottom topless can be seen. The room appears to be some sort of futuristic lab with a large tree in it. There\u2019s also a large \u201cM\u201d design interwoven into the album.<\/p>\n

What Songs Will Be on \u2018Megan\u2019?<\/h2>\n

Megan didn\u2019t release a tracklist for her album, but she has released a handful of singles between 2023 and this year that appear thematic. Her songs \u201cCobra\u201d, \u201cHiss\u201d, and \u201cBoa\u201d all have a snake theme going for them. She\u2019s also dropped the songs \u201cBongos\u201d with\u00a0Cardi B<\/strong>, \u201cNot My Fault\u201d with\u00a0Renee Rapp<\/strong>, and the single \u201cP***y Don\u2019t Lie\u201d from the Netflix animated series\u00a0Big Mouth<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Will \u2018Megan\u2019 Have Guests?<\/h2>\n

It\u2019s unclear if\u00a0Megan\u00a0<\/em>has any special guests dropping verses or being featured alongside Megan, but she\u2019s appeared alongside a number of artists for different songs since the release of\u00a0Traumazine<\/em>. In addition to the collaborations listed above, Megan also recruited metal stars Spiritbox for a remix of \u201cCobra,\u201d and she appeared on a remix of GloRilla\u2019s \u201cWanna Be.\u201d<\/p>\n

What Will \u2018Megan\u2019 Sound Like?<\/h2>\n

It\u2019s not clear what exactly\u00a0Megan\u00a0<\/em>will sound like, but if it\u2019s anything like \u201cBoa\u201d, \u201cHiss\u201d or \u201cCobra,\u201d it\u2019s clear that Megan is going to continue to show her dexterity as a rapper, alongside catchy beats with plenty of bangers for summer. She may also be incorporating some new genre in, if the metalcore remix of \u201cCobra\u201d is any indication of further experimentation.<\/p>\n
