Simone Biles<\/strong><\/a> had her family\u2019s support as she took home her ninth all-around title. While competing at the XFinity Championships over the weekend, Simone\u2019s husband, Jonathan Owens<\/strong><\/a>, was seen cheering her on during her floor exercise.<\/p>\n

According to a social media video<\/a> shared by NBC Sports on Sunday, June 2, Simone, 27, was seen effortlessly executing her tumbling passes on the floor, securing her win as she prepares for the upcoming Paris Olympics. Following the event, Simone discussed her progress and confidence.<\/p>\n

\u201cI couldn\u2019t be more proud of how I\u2019m doing at this time in the year,\u201d she told NBC. \u201cJust gaining that confidence over and over, getting myself back in front of a crowd and just doing what I do in practice.\u201d<\/p>\n

Last month, Jonathan gushed over Simone\u2019s skills in an Instagram post following another competition.<\/p>\n

Another one!!!!\u201d the NFL player captioned a carousel post, featuring a shot of him leaning down to kiss Simone. \u201cYou just never cease to amaze me baby, I love being able to watch you go out there and do your thing. I\u2019m here with you every step of the way, wouldn\u2019t miss it for the world.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jonathan and Simone have been married since April 2023. Toward the end of that year, the football safety faced controversy<\/a> over a comment he made on \u201cThe Pivot\u201d podcast about men being \u201cthe catch\u201d in relationships. Jonathan was quickly bombarded with backlash from social media users, but Simone came to his defense during her appearance<\/a> on the \u201cCall Her Daddy\u201d podcast earlier this year.<\/p>\n

\u201cI thought it was hilarious at first, and then [people] hurt my feelings,\u201d the Olympian said. \u201cOne night, I broke down and I\u2019m like, \u2018Why are you guys talking about my husband like this? Like, you don\u2019t know him. You don\u2019t know who he is.\u2019 And if anybody\u2019s met him, they know he\u2019s the sweetest guy and will do anything for anybody.\u201d<\/p>\n

Simone added that she can \u201cbrush things off\u201d but, for her, \u201c\u2018Talk about me all you want, but don\u2019t come for my family \u2014 never,\u2019\u201d she told host Alex Cooper<\/strong>. \u201cI didn\u2019t think anything of that interview, and he never said I wasn\u2019t a catch. He said he was a catch. Because he is.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
