Adele<\/strong><\/a> wasted no time in calling out a homophobic commenter during her Saturday, June 1, Las Vegas residency concert. Upon hearing an unidentified audience member yell, \u201cPride sucks,\u201d the 36-year-old Grammy winner clapped back, as seen in videos circulating on social media.<\/p>\n

\u201cDid you come to my f**king show and just say that Pride sucks? Are you f**king stupid?\u201d Adele said, as fans cheered. \u201cDon\u2019t be so f**king ridiculous,\u201d she went on, before adding, \u201cIf you\u2019ve got nothing nice to say, shut up. All right?\u201d<\/p>\n

Pride Month<\/a>, which takes place each June, was created to honor the 1969 Stonewall Riots in New York City. As a long-term ally of the LGBTQIA+ community, Adele has conveyed her support several times throughout her career. In 2016, she paid tribute to the victims of the Orlando, Florida, Pulse nightclub shooting during one of her concerts.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe [LGBTQIA] community \u2014 they\u2019re like my soulmates since I was really young, so I\u2019m really moved by it,\u201d she explained, referring to the tragedy.<\/p>\n

The \u201cEasy on Me\u201d artist also opened up about receiving a letter from a fan, who was inspired by Adele\u2019s music to come out to friends.<\/p>\n

\u201cI get a lot of mail from people who tell me that I make them really happy to be themselves, and really comfortable with who they are, which I love,\u201d Adele began in a 2015 interview with Out<\/em> magazine. \u201cHe fancied someone at school, but he wasn\u2019t out. And he listened to \u2018Someone Like You\u2019 and came out to his best friend, and then to the boy he fancied, and it turned out that he was gay as well, and now they\u2019re together \u2014 he\u2019s like 15.\u201d<\/p>\n

Adele has also used her platform to address other issues. In July 2023, the \u201cHello\u201d hitmaker responded to the dangerous viral trend<\/a> of fans throwing objects at on-stage performers.<\/p>\n

\u201cHave you noticed how people are, like, forgetting f**king show etiquette in America?\u201d she asked a crowd during one of her \u201cWeekends with Adele\u201d shows at the time. \u201cThey\u2019re just throwing s**t onstage. Have you seen that?\u201d<\/p>\n

While holding a T-shirt cannon in her hand, Adele added, \u201cF**king dare you. Dare you to throw something at me.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
