However, its Family plan is going up by a whopping $3, increasing from $17 to $20 monthly. The only subscribers getting a break are students, who will continue to pay $6 monthly.<\/p>\n<p>Spotify announced the price hikes less than a year after its <a data-i13n=\"cpos:4;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/newsroom.spotify.com\/2023-07-24\/adjusting-our-spotify-premium-prices\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:previous one last July;cpos:4;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">previous one last July<\/a>. Before that, Spotify hadn&#8217;t raised its fees since launching a decade and a half ago. I guess it was too optimistic to hope the next increase would also take that long, especially with Spotify&#8217;s continued focus (and money dump) on audiobooks.<\/p>\n<p>Premium subscribers should receive an email from <a data-i13n=\"cpos:5;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.engadget.com\/spotify-now-says-it-will-refund-car-thing-purchases-193001487.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:Spotify;cpos:5;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Spotify<\/a> in the next month detailing the price hike and providing a link to cancel their plan if they would prefer to do so.
