First revealed back in May 2023, those eagerly awaiting any more information have been treated to a full info blast in <a href=\"https:\/\/readwrite.com\/playstation-state-of-play-may-2024-trailers-videos-announcements-everything\/\">May 2024\u2019s State of Play<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Because of this, we have a plethora of notes to give you on Firewalk\u2019s take on a 5v5 Overwatch-esque hero shooter, including the release date, new trailers, platforms, beta access, and more.<\/p>\n<h2>Concord release date<\/h2>\n<p>Seeing as though <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.playstation.com\/2023\/05\/24\/introducing-concord-a-new-pvp-multiplayer-fps-from-firewalk-studios-coming-to-ps5-and-pc\/\">Concord<\/a> was announced a little while ago, you won\u2019t have to wait too long to get your hands on the space hero FPS.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, <strong>the Concord release date is August 23, 2024<\/strong> making it almost three months away at time of writing \u2013 a real Summer time treat. Since this official date was revealed on the most recent PlayStation State of Play, unless something goes awry, we do not expect it to slip any further.<\/p>\n<p>Yes, some games have been known to change release date even if it is a week away for example, but it is highly unlikely for a title of this ilk. Roll on August!<\/p>\n<h2>Concord trailers<\/h2>\n<p>When Concord was announced, details were few and far between, and this was certainly shared with the first trailer. This aptly named teaser trailer had a short, cinematic look at what appeared to be a Guardians of the Galaxy-like ship, and that\u2019s about it.<\/p>\n<p><noscript><iframe title=\"Concord - Teaser Trailer | PS5 &amp; PC Games\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Zb-xvCPecps?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/noscript><\/p>\n<p>With the newest aforementioned State of Play though, there were a couple of trailer additions \u2013 cinematic and gameplay.<\/p>\n<p>The cinematic trailer is a meaty affair coming in at almost 5 minutes long. This means a sneak peek at what\u2019s in store for their abilities and roles, so you can get a feel for who you might main come release.<\/p>\n<p>The gunplay certainly gives off <a href=\"https:\/\/readwrite.com\/destiny-2-the-final-shape-expansion-leaks-a-week-early-via-ps5-cloud-streaming\/\">Destiny 2<\/a> vibes, and when paired with Overwatch-esque heroes, it looks like it\u2019ll be a fast-paced but strategic battle.<\/p>\n<p><noscript><iframe title=\"Concord - Gameplay Trailer | PS5 Games\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/7jqQJhjf_3o?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/noscript><\/p>\n<h2>Concord platforms<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Concord is available on two platforms \u2013 PS5 and PC<\/strong>. The <a href=\"https:\/\/readwrite.com\/tag\/ps5\/\">PS5<\/a> portion is obviously expected since Firewalk is in the PlayStation Studios family, but it is good to see it will get a day one release on PC also.<\/p>\n<p>This will hopefully aid the player base and keep interest going into the Holiday season and beyond.<\/p>\n<p>As for an Xbox release, it is highly doubtful, especially in the first year.
