Everything is bigger in Texas, including the boos. Travis Kelce<\/strong><\/a> is looking back on his experience attending a Dallas Mavericks playoff game.<\/p>\n

\u201cI got booed twice,\u201d Travis, 34, said on the May 29 episode of the \u201cNew Heights\u201d podcast<\/a>. \u201cIt\u2019s whatever. I get it. I\u2019m not from Dallas. I\u2019m just kind of like an innocent bystander.\u201d<\/p>\n

When brother Jason Kelce<\/strong><\/a> asked if he had a more concrete theory as to why fans inside the American Airlines Center didn\u2019t cheer for him, Travis said he was unsure. \u201cI don\u2019t know,\u201d he added. \u201cMaybe they don\u2019t like the Chiefs.\u201d<\/p>\n

On May 26, Travis joined teammate Patrick Mahomes<\/strong><\/a> and his wife Brittany Mahomes<\/strong><\/a> courtside to watch the Dallas Mavericks take on the Minnesota Timberwolves. While the NFL tight end didn\u2019t receive a warm welcome, his guests were embraced because of their Texas roots.<\/p>\n

\u201cPat taps me and I was like \u2018Oh, s***! I\u2019m on the jumbotron.\u2019 And then I heard the boos and I was like, \u2018Oh, s***! I\u2019m getting booed. Nice. Thanks. Nice to see you guys Dallas. Appreciate the warm welcome,\u2019\u201d Travis recalled. \u201cAnd then they showed Pat and everyone was like, \u2018Yeah!’\u201d<\/p>\n

The innocent fun continued online when the Mavericks posted a video of Travis and Patrick, 28, sitting in the front row. \u201cOur guy Pat & @taylorswift\u2019s boyfriend in the house!\u201d the organization wrote via Instagram<\/a> on May 27 without naming Travis. \u201c#OneForDallas #MFFL.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ultimately, there appears to be no hard feelings for Travis who attended the game wearing<\/a> a Nahmias x Reisinger apple t-shirt, Heron Preston jeans and a Louis Vuitton necklace. Before becoming a Super Bowl champion with the Chiefs, Travis dreamed of playing for the Dallas Cowboys as a kid saying, \u201cThey were fun as hell \u2014 that team was electric.\u201d<\/p>\n

Earlier in the week, Travis also watched the Dallas Stars take on the Edmonton Oilers during an NHL playoff game. After enjoying the match-up from a suite, the athlete said he enjoyed his experience visiting the Lone Star State.<\/p>\n

\u201cShout out to Dallas, man. I had a f***ing blast,\u201d he said. \u201cLove the NHL and NBA Western Conference Finals, and always good to see, when you go and enter somebody else\u2019s arena, to see that thing absolutely rocking and the home team\u2019s gotta win. So I was rooting for the Dallas Stars for sure.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
