Ryan Gosling<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s recent Saturday Night Live<\/em> hosting gig was full of laughs, but the end of the night was all love! The 43-year-old actor closed out the evening with a sweet shout-out to Eva Mendes<\/strong><\/a> and their daughters, Esmeralda and Amada<\/a>. After thanking the cast, crew and Emily Blunt<\/strong> <\/a>for joining him for the April 13 episode, Ryan shouted, \u00a0\u201cEva, [Esmeralda], [Amada], I love you!\u201d<\/p>\n

During one of the skits that night, Eva\u2019s name was also mentioned. While the Barbie<\/em> star imitated a Cuban accent with Marcello Hernandez<\/strong><\/a> and Kenan Thompson<\/strong><\/a>, Marcello\u2019s character teased that \u201ca lot of celebrities\u201d were going to be at a club, including Eva, which Ryan reacted with a surprised facial expression. Not only that, but Ryan\u2019s character even joked that a \u201cCuban wife\u201d can change a man.<\/p>\n

Although Eva, 50, was born in Miami, she was raised by Cuban parents. The actress poked fun at Ryan\u2019s hilarious skit by sharing a video to Instagram<\/a> on Monday, April 15, that was captioned, \u201cOye! Back in L.A. with my \u2018Cuban Papi.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Ryan tends to keep his and Eva\u2019s relationship out of his public comments and appearances. The couple have not attended a red carpet premiere together since they filmed their 2012 movie, The Place Beyond the Pines<\/em>. They met on the set of the film in 2011.<\/p>\n

Nevertheless, Eva hasn\u2019t hesitated to share sweet shout-outs and comments about Ryan on her Instagram account. She also recalled how they met<\/a> and Ryan\u2019s dedication to his craft during an interview with TODAY<\/em> last month.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have never experienced anything like that. The way he works, his commitment to his craft, how he wants to make everything as best as it could be, and that means making his co-stars as best as they could be,\u201d Eva noted.<\/p>\n

The mom of two then pointed out that she chose to stop auditioning for new film roles after becoming a mother to her and Ryan\u2019s daughters \u2014 a decision that was a \u201cno brainer\u201d for her.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut unfortunately, or fortunately, there is only one Ryan. So, I pretty much stopped just acting after that,\u201d she said. \u201cIt was almost just like a non-verbal agreement that it was like, \u2018OK, he\u2019s going to work, and I\u2019m going to work. I\u2019m just going to work here.\u2019 He went and he did his job. He just happens to be really good at his job. And he did it, and he came home.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
