That update is now followed up with a security patch for April 2024.<\/p>\n<p class=\"image-row clearfix\">&#13;<br \/>\n<a onclick=\"javascript:ShowImg2(&quot;news\/24\/04\/samsung-galaxy-s23-series-april-update\/popup\/gsmarena_001.jpg&quot;);return false\" href=\"#\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"April security patch for the Galaxy S23 series\" width=\"192\" height=\"400\" src=\"https:\/\/fdn.gsmarena.com\/imgroot\/news\/24\/04\/samsung-galaxy-s23-series-april-update\/popup\/-x400\/gsmarena_001.jpg\"\/><\/a>&#13;<br \/>\n<br \/><span><strong>April security patch for the Galaxy S23 series<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s currently rolling out in Europe, where you should see the following firmware versions:<\/p>\n<p>The availability of this update will expand gradually, so you should see it in the next couple of days if it isn\u2019t available right now. It\u2019s around a 350-400MB download and the <a href=\"https:\/\/doc.samsungmobile.com\/SM-S911B\/EUX\/doc.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">change log<\/a> is fairly straightforward: \u201cThe security of your device has been improved.\u201d Of course, it\u2019s the One UI 6.1 that was the big update for early 2024.<\/p>\n<p>We are seeing reports that the April patch is also landing on on the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 trio, which were part of the One UI 6.1\/Galaxy AI update too. However, the Galaxy S23 FE isn\u2019t on the list, neither are the two Tab S9 FE models.<\/p>\n<p>The Galaxy AI features will be available for free until the end of 2025. If you\u2019re interested but don\u2019t feel like buying a Galaxy S24 phone, you can pick up one of last year\u2019s models.<\/p>\n<p>Samsung US has carrier deals for the Galaxy Z Fold5 and Z Flip5 with up to $1,000 trade-in credit, plus some instant discount. The Galaxy Tab S9, Tab S9+ and Tab S9 Ultra have straight discounts instead.
