Billie Eilish\u00a0<\/strong><\/a>fans have been eager for her to release a new album for nearly three years now, and luckily, they\u2019ll have some new tunes in about a month. The singer announced that she\u2019d be releasing her third album in May on Monday, April 8. Her follow-up to 2021\u2019s\u00a0Happier Than Ever<\/em> will be titled\u00a0Hit Me Hard and Soft<\/em>,\u00a0and it will be released via Darkroom\/Interscope Records.<\/p>\n

When Does \u2018Hit Me Hard and Soft\u2019 Come Out?<\/h2>\n

Billie revealed that Hit Me Hard and Soft\u00a0<\/em>will be released on May 17th. In the announcement, she seemed very excited by it. \u201d MY THIRD ALBUMMMMMMMMMMMMM COMES OUT MAY 17THHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH AHHHHHHHHHH,\u201d she wrote with a few joyful emojis.<\/p>\n

What Does \u2018Hit Me Hard and Soft\u2019 Sound Like?<\/h2>\n

While the \u201cBad Guy\u201d singer revealed that the album is coming soon, she has not released any teasers, giving an idea of what it will sound like to fans. In her announcement, she revealed that there wouldn\u2019t be any singles released ahead of time. \u201cI wanna give it to you all at once,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n

While there are no known tracks just yet, Billie hasn\u2019t been radio silent since\u00a0Happier Than Ever\u00a0<\/em>dropped, she did show some affinity for singer-songwriter inspired sounds on her EP\u00a0Guitar Songs\u00a0<\/em>in 2022. She also had a massive hit with 2023\u2019s \u201cWhat Was I Made For?\u201d from the\u00a0Barbie\u00a0<\/em>soundtrack. If any of those songs are any indication, perhaps the new album will be a bit more stripped down sounding and ballad-driven, but nothing is certain.<\/p>\n

What Has Billie Said About the Record?<\/h2>\n

While there are no teasers about what the album may sound like, Billie did reveal that she and her brother Finneas<\/strong> are very pleased with how it turned out. \u201cFinneas and i truly could not be more proud of this album and we absolutely can\u2019t wait for you to hear it. love you love you love you,\u201d she wrote in her announcement post.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
