This season, all eyes appear to be on Aoki Lee Simmons<\/strong><\/a>. The 21-year-old daughter of supermodel Kimora Lee Simmons<\/strong><\/a> and music executive Russell Simmons<\/strong><\/a> recently made headlines when she was spotted on a romantic vacation with restaurateur Vittorio Assaf<\/strong>, 65.<\/p>\n

But days after photos surfaced of the pair displaying some PDA, the apparent romance came to an end.<\/p>\n

\u201cNot only is it \u2018over\u2019, it was never a thing,\u201d a source told PEOPLE<\/a><\/em> on April 9. \u201cAoki is learning to navigate her private life in a public sphere. And that can be difficult.\u201d<\/p>\n

As Aoki moves forward, learn more about the college graduate and model who is already grabbing the attention of the fashion world.<\/p>\n

Aoki Has a College Degree<\/strong><\/h2>\n

In June 2023, Aoki graduated from Harvard University with a degree in classics and government. \u201cI feel grateful, proud and relieved \u2014 in that order!\u201d she told PEOPLE<\/i><\/a> at the time. \u201cIt\u2019s a surreal feeling to be done with something that was such a huge part of my life. Now, like every other graduate, I\u2019m on to the next chapter. I\u2019m so thankful for the village of people that spurred me along and helped keep me focused.\u201d<\/p>\n

She\u2019s Ready to Runway<\/h2>\n

After rocking the Sergio Hudson runway during New York Fashion Week in February 2023, Aoki is proving to be a force in the modeling and fashion world by starring in BCBG New York\u2019s spring 2024 collection visuals. \u201cI have been a fan forever,\u201d she told Us Weekly<\/i><\/a> in April 2024. \u201cI grew up stealing my mom\u2019s BCBG looks for everything you can think of. BCBG has always been a staple in our house. Always a go-to.\u201d<\/p>\n

Aoki Has Experience in Reality TV<\/h2>\n

Much of Aoki and her sister Ming Lee Simmons<\/strong>\u2019 childhood was documented on their mom\u2019s reality TV series Life in the Fab Lane<\/i>, which aired from 2007 to 2011. When the show premiered, social media and smartphones weren\u2019t as big as they are now.<\/p>\n

When asked if her family would ever return to the reality TV world, Kimora was hesitant. \u201cHaving your life in the spotlight is probably a lot,\u201d she told Entertainment Tonight <\/i><\/a>in June 2023. \u201cI can say that \u2019cause I did that as youngster growing up, and you guys obviously were born into that. I think it\u2019s tough. It has a certain side to it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Her Thoughts on Being a Nepo Baby<\/h2>\n

Aoki doesn\u2019t shy away from the fact that having famous parents has given her special opportunities. But when it comes to the fashion world, the model believes connections only take you so far.\u00a0 \u201cAll you can do is be grateful and try to stay in your lane a bit,\u201d she told Teen Vogue<\/i><\/a> in September 2023. \u201cWhat I have noticed, though, is that [nepotism] is not as much of a thing for models of color.\u201d<\/p>\n

Aoki\u2019s Fierce Bond With Kimora<\/h2>\n

While her relationship with Russell remains strained, Aoki said her mom has been a huge supporter in whatever she chooses to pursue professionally. \u201cMy mom was literally trying to coach me while I walked down the runway during the Sergio Hudson show,\u201d Aoki told Us<\/i>. \u201cI walked by and she yelled, \u2018SHOULDERS!\u2019 Since I started my career, my mom has given me a lot of helpful advice, but I also appreciate the amount of space she has given me to make my own way. She\u2019s allowing me to figure it out.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
