Morgan Wallen\u2019s<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>ex-girlfriend Katie \u201cKT \u201d Smith <\/strong><\/a>spoke out about the rumors that the incident where he allegedly threw a chair from a Nashville rooftop bar had to do with her announcing that she was getting married in an interview with The Daily Beast\u00a0<\/em>on Monday, April 8. Despite a report that the\u00a0One Thing At a Time\u00a0<\/em>singer, 30, was sent into a tailspin over his ex\u2019s marriage, KT said she didn\u2019t necessarily think that was the case.<\/p>\n

Morgan was arrested on Sunday, April 7. He was charged with three felony counts for reckless endangerment after he allegedly tossed a chair from the roof of\u00a0Eric Church\u2019s\u00a0<\/strong>bar. His bond was set at $15,250, and he was released a few hours later. His court date is set for May 3. Shortly after the arrest, a source claimed that KT\u2019s elopement with fellow influencer\u00a0Luke Scornavacco<\/strong> \u201cjust crushed\u201d Morgan in a report from Daily Mail<\/a>.\u00a0<\/em>\u201cWhatever happened at that bar had to be reality hitting him in the face over losing the love of his life,\u201d they told the outlet.<\/p>\n

Despite the report, KT explained that she had no reason to believe that was the case. \u201cAlthough it may seem like it correlates because of the timeline,\u201d she told\u00a0Daily Beast<\/a>.\u00a0<\/em>\u201cI have no evidence to believe the incident had anything to do with the recent marriage announcement.\u201d<\/p>\n

KT further explained that she was hoping for the best for her ex. \u201cI cannot speak on Morgan\u2019s behalf, but I do pray the very best for him. Praying that this was just a slip up and that he will return to the good path that he was on prior,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

KT revealed that she and Luke had eloped in an Instagram post<\/a> on April 3. Morgan and KT dated for about three years, and they were even briefly engaged.<\/a> Despite calling off the engagement, they stayed together for some time afterward. They also have a son together, who was born in 2020.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
