Sean \u201cDiddy\u201d Combs<\/strong><\/a>\u2018 sex trafficking investigation<\/a> isn\u2019t the first time that fellow celebrities have questioned him. Country music singer and rapper Jelly Roll<\/strong><\/a> recalled turning down the opportunity to meet and take a picture with the music producer and explained the reason why in a new interview.<\/p>\n

While discussing the memory on the \u201cCancelled with Tana Mongeau\u201d podcast last week \u2014 before he won at the CMT Music Awards<\/a> over the weekend \u2014 Jelly Roll, 39, was given the chance to talk to Diddy, 54, in October 2023 when they both appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live!\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cThis is the first time in my career, ever, where they said, \u2018Do you want to meet such-and-such?\u2019 And I said, \u2018Yeah,\u2019 and I started walking that way,\u201d the \u201cSon of a Sinner\u201d artist noted. \u201cAnd as I was getting down the hallway \u2014 this is a true story \u2014 I said, \u2018Nah,\u2019 and went and got back in the car. Swear. I don\u2019t know what it was.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jelly Roll went on to mention that he \u00a0\u201cmade a joke at first\u201d about meeting Diddy, admitting that this also made him feel like the opportunity wasn\u2019t to his advantage.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was like, \u2018Who don\u2019t wanna meet the guy that got Tupac [Shakur] killed?\u2019 And nobody thought that was funny, so I was like, \u2018Ooh, that was a bomb, maybe I shouldn\u2019t go do this anyway,’\u201d Jelly Roll added.<\/p>\n

Toward the end of the conversation, the Tennessee native said that he felt uneasy in that moment for an unknown reason.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was just like, \u2018I don\u2019t know,\u2019\u201d he concluded. \u201cVery seldom does things rub me in a way where I was like, \u2018I don\u2019t even know if that\u2019s a picture I want.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Jelly Roll\u2019s comment comes amid Diddy\u2019s ongoing legal situation. Over the past several months, multiple women have come forward with sexual assault allegations against the rapper<\/a>. Last month, his homes in Los Angeles and Miami were raided by Homeland Security<\/a> in connection to a sex trafficking investigation. Diddy\u2019s lawyer slammed the raids<\/a> as a \u201cgross overuse of military-level force as search warrants were executed at Mr. Combs\u2019 residences.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThis unprecedented ambush \u2014 paired with an advanced, coordinated media presence \u2014 leads to a premature rush to judgment of Mr. Combs and is nothing more than a witch hunt based on meritless accusations made in civil lawsuits,\u201d attorney Aaron Dyer said. \u201cThere has been no finding of criminal or civil liability with any of these allegations. Mr. Combs is innocent and will continue to fight every single day to clear his name.\u201d<\/p>\n
