However, that changed when they announced their split<\/a> in April 2024 almost immediately after Rebel Wilson<\/strong> <\/a>came forward with shocking claims against Sacha.<\/p>\n

Neither Sacha nor Isla has publicly commented on why they decided to divorce. Multiple outlets, however, have reported different reasons behind their separation.<\/p>\n

Days after the actors announced their split, Daily Mail<\/em><\/a> reported that they broke up because of a disagreement over where to live as a family. However, Us Weekly<\/em> <\/a>reported that Isla and Sacha had been \u201cat odds\u201d for a long time over their work commitments and family obligations.<\/p>\n

On April 5, Sacha and Isla announced their split by sharing a joint statement to their respective Instagram accounts.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter a long tennis match lasting over 20 years, we are finally putting our racquets down,\u201d they wrote in the Instagram Stories statement. \u201cIn 2023 we jointly filed to end our marriage. We have always prioritized our privacy, and have been quietly working through this change. We forever share in our devotion and love for our children. We sincerely appreciate your respecting our family\u2019s wish for privacy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rebel Wilson\u2019s Allegations Against Sacha<\/h2>\n

In her memoir, Rebel Rising<\/em>, Rebel accused Sacha<\/a> of sexual harassment while working with him on their comedy film, Grimsby<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt felt like every time I\u2019d speak to SBC, he\u2019d mention that he wanted me to go naked in a future scene,\u201d the Pitch Perfect<\/em> franchise star claimed in her book. \u201cI was like, \u2018Ha, I don\u2019t do nudity, Sacha.\u201d<\/p>\n

At one point in the memoir, Rebel alleged that Sacha sent a production assistant to tell her she was needed to film \u201can additional scene.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2018OK, well, we\u2019re gonna film this extra scene,\u2019 SBC says,\u201d Rebel added. \u201cThen he pulls his pants down. SBC says very matter-of-factly: \u2018OK, now I want you to stick your finger up my ass.\u2019 And I\u2019m like, \u2018What?? No!!\u2019 \u2026 I was now scared. I wanted to get out of there, so I finally compromised: I slapped him on the ass and improvised a few lines as the character.\u201d<\/p>\n

Upon calling her agent, Rebel claimed she was \u201cencouraged to \u2018be professional and finish the film.’\u201d She then recalled allegedly being asked to do reshoots, which included filming a sex scene.<\/p>\n

\u201cI filmed the scene, after demanding rewrites,\u201d she pointed out. \u201cBut I still had to simulate having sex with this guy. I still had to kiss him repeatedly. \u2026 It really sank in that all this wasn\u2019t something that could be laughed off. I relayed to the producers that I would not be doing any promotion for the film.\u201d<\/p>\n

A producer from Grimsby<\/em>, however, denied Rebel\u2019s claims in a statement obtained by PEOPLE<\/a>,\u00a0<\/em>alleging that she\u00a0\u201chad read and approved\u201d the sexual scene \u201cin advance.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAt no point did Sacha actually ask her to put a finger in his butt,\u201d the producer claimed. \u201cThroughout this entire period, she was treated with the utmost respect and empowerment and was welcomed as a collaborator in all creative areas.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
