Drake Bell\u00a0<\/strong><\/a>admitted that he\u2019s been talking to his on-screen brother\u00a0Josh Peck<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>since coming forward with his experience of being sexually assaulted<\/a> by dialogue coach Brian Peck<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>(no relation) as a child. Drake, 37, spoke in defense of Josh, 37, in the much-anticipated fifth episode of the docuseries\u00a0Quiet on Set,\u00a0<\/em>which aired on Sunday, April 7.<\/p>\n

Since the documentary aired, a few people online have come after Josh<\/a> since the documentary came out, and Drake defended him. \u201cI know what it\u2019s like to have the internet attack you for really nothing,\u201d he said in the episode. \u201cThis is a really difficult thing to process.<\/a>\u201d<\/p>\n

Drake further explained that Josh had reached out to him privately, and they\u2019d been speaking since the bombshell documentary was released. He also showed love to his on-screen brother. \u201cAt the end of the day, we have such a close connection and unique bond that\u2019s so rare in this industry that, I don\u2019t know, it\u2019s really special, and he\u2019s a really great person,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Days after the documentary had aired and Drake shared the allegations,\u00a0The Amanda Show\u00a0<\/em>alum told his followers to \u201ctake it a little easy\u201d on Josh, explaining that his co-star had reached out to him privately<\/a>. \u201cI just want to let you guys know that this is really \u2014 processing this and going through this is a really emotional time, and a lot of it is very, very difficult. So, not everything is put out to the public,\u201d he said. \u201cBut he has reached out to talk with me and help me work through this.\u201d<\/p>\n

Josh later shared his own statement on Instagram<\/a>, letting people know that he supported everyone<\/a> who had come forward. \u201cI reached out to Drake privately but want to give my support for the survivors who were brave enough to share their stories of emotional and physical abuse on Nickelodeon sets with the world. Children should be protected. Reliving this publicly is incredibly difficult, but I hope it can bring healing for the victims and their families as well as necessary change to our industry,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
