The prices of Samsung\u2019s Galaxy Tab S9 series have been moving around recently. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra had the most significant drop \u2013 the 12\/256GB model is \u00a31,000, whereas a few weeks ago<\/a> it would have cost you \u00a31,200. And you can get 512GB storage for just \u00a350 more (or not, there is a microSD slot available, after all). That used to be a \u00a3100 upgrade.<\/p>\n

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S9+ is now \u00a3850 for a 12\/256GB slate and \u00a3900 for the 12\/512GB option (that was was \u00a3930 in late March). The Tab S9 series, like other 2023 Samsung flagships, were recently updated with the new Galaxy AI features, so you can try image editing (along with text entry with AI help and summarization) on the big screen.<\/p>\n

The Galaxy Tab S9 is cheaper in its 256GB configuration at \u00a3730 (was \u00a3750 a few weeks ago). This is the one you want as it also comes with 12GB of RAM. The 128GB model went up in price by \u00a330 and only has 8GB of RAM, so it\u2019s not recommended.<\/p>\n

In late March<\/a> the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ was selling for \u00a3400 (this is for a 12\/512GB unit), now its price has fallen by \u00a330 \u2013 not bad for a few weeks time. And this might change the equation when comparing it to the regular Pro.<\/p>\n

The Redmi Note 13 Pro still costs \u00a3270 as it did a few weeks ago, reducing the gap between the two to \u00a3100. That extra cash buys a better chipset (Dimensity 7200 Ultra vs. Snapdragon 7s Gen 2) with faster storage (UFS 3.1 vs. 2.2) and better dust and water resistance rating (IP68 vs. IP54). Also, the 5,000mAh battery on the Pro+ charges at 120W, compared to 67W for the slightly larger 5,100mAh battery on the regular Pro.<\/p>\n

Both phones feature 6.67\u201d 120Hz AMOLED displays with 12-bit colors and Dolby Vision support. They have 200MP main cameras (1\/1.4\u201d sensors, OIS) and 8MP ultra wides, plus 16MP selfie cameras. There\u2019s no dedicated zoom lens, but the high resolution main sensor does a great job at 2x, though the 4x mode is not great.<\/p>\n

The Redmi Note 13 (5G) is only \u00a340 cheaper than the Pro model and the difference is hard to justify \u2013 the demotion to a 108MP main camera, lower tier Dimensity 6080 chipset and 33W charging for the 5,000mAh battery is not worth the savings.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s also the Redmi Note 14 4G with a Snapdragon 685 at \u00a350 less, but unless your budget is strictly under \u00a3200, we\u2019d go with a 5G phone.<\/p>\n

And if you do have to stay under \u00a3200, also consider the Poco M6 Pro. It switches over to a Helio G99 Ultra with a generous 12GB of RAM and 512GB storage (and you can add even more \u2013 both phones have microSD slots). The main camera is downgrade to 64MP, but you get faster 67W charging (vs. 33W) for the 5,000mAh battery.<\/p>\n

The Nothing Phone (2) was down to \u00a3520 for the 12\/256GB model a few weeks ago, now that same phone goes for \u00a3485. Not a bad price for a 6.7\u201d LTPO display (1080p+, 120Hz) and a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. The 50MP ultra wide camera and 4,700mAh battery with both wired (45W) and wireless (15W) charging are also rare in this class. Plus, the transparent back and LED lights set the brand apart.<\/p>\n

The Sony WF-1000XM5 is down \u00a310, which isn\u2019t much, but it helps. These TWS buds offer amazing sound and a superb ANC.<\/p>\n
