Two weeks after Rebel Wilson<\/strong><\/a> revealed that she calls out Sacha Baron Cohen<\/strong><\/a> in her memoir, Rebel Rising<\/em>, the comedian, 52, and his wife, Isa Fisher<\/a>,<\/strong> announced their divorce. According to a newly released statement on Friday, April 5, the estranged spouses revealed they split last year.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter a long tennis match lasting over 20 years, we are finally putting our racquets down. In 2023 we jointly filed to end our marriage,\u201d Sacha and Isla wrote in a joint Instagram Stories statement. \u201cWe have always prioritized our privacy, and have been quietly working through this change. We forever share in our devotion and love for our children. We sincerely appreciate your respecting our family\u2019s wish for privacy.\u201d<\/p>\n

The news comes two weeks after Rebel, 44, revealed that Sacha is the \u201ca**hole\u201d<\/a> she mentions in her memoir, accusing him of inappropriate behavior on the set go their film, Grimsby<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI wrote about an a**hole in my book. Now, said a**hole is trying to threaten me,\u201d the Pitch Perfect<\/em> actress said in a since-deleted Instagram clip. \u201cHe\u2019s hired a crisis PR manager and lawyers. He is trying to stop press coming out about my book. But the book WILL come out, and you will all know the truth.\u201d<\/p>\n

In her book \u2014 which came out on Tuesday, April 2, Rebel wrote about her alleged experience working with the Trial of the Chicago 7<\/em> star on the set of their comedy movie Grimsby<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt felt like every time I\u2019d speak to SBC, he\u2019d mention that he wanted me to go naked in a future scene,\u201d Rebel claimed in one excerpt from her memoir. \u201cI was like, \u2018Ha, I don\u2019t do nudity, Sacha.\u201d<\/p>\n

She then detailed an alleged exchange between her and Sacha, claiming that he wanted her to film a sexual scene that she hadn\u2019t agreed to.<\/p>\n

\u201cSBC summons me via a production assistant saying that I\u2019m needed to film an additional scene. \u2018OK, well, we\u2019re gonna film this extra scene,\u2019 SBC says,\u201d Rebel alleged. \u201cThen he pulls his pants down. SBC says very matter-of-factly: \u2018OK, now I want you to stick your finger up my ass.\u2019 And I\u2019m like, \u2018What?? \u2026 No!!\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

An anonymous producer from the movie challenged Rebel\u2019s claims. According to a statement obtained by PEOPLE<\/em>, the producer claimed that Rebel \u201chad read and approved\u201d the scene in question \u201cin advance.\u201d The producer then pointed out that \u201cher character was attempting to put a finger in Sacha\u2019s character\u2019s butt. At no point did Sacha actually ask her to put a finger in his butt. Throughout this entire period, she was treated with the utmost respect and empowerment and was welcomed as a collaborator in all creative areas.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sacha and Isla got married in 2010. They had met in 2001 and got engaged in 2004. The pair share daughters Olive and Elula and son Montgomery.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
