Nick Cannon <\/a><\/strong>is a loving father to many children. While his very large family of 12 kids from six different mothers has inspired many memes and jokes, he has still shown that he\u2019s a present dad to his kids. He posted some adorable photos from his second youngest child\u00a0Rise\u2019s\u00a0<\/strong>first birthday on Instagram<\/a> on Tuesday, October 3. In the adorable photos, he smiled with Rise\u2019s older sister\u00a0Powerful Queen, <\/strong>and both of their mom Brittany Bell<\/strong><\/a>. \u201cBig Rizzy Day,\u201d he wrote in the caption.<\/p>\n The comedian welcomed his 12th child<\/a>, Halo<\/strong>, with Alyssa Scott<\/strong><\/a> in Dec. 2022 just a few weeks after he and Abby De La Rosa<\/strong><\/a> gave birth<\/a> to their third child, Beautiful Zeppelin<\/strong>.\u00a0While this might raise an eyebrow for some, the 42-year-old musician and host has previously stated that all of his pregnancies \u2014 including having multiple in one year \u2014 have been planned. In a July 2021 interview on his podcast, Nick told the rap duo City Girls that he was having children \u201con purpose<\/a>.\u201d He confirmed, \u201cTrust me, there\u2019s a lot of people I could\u2019ve gotten pregnant that I didn\u2019t,\u201d he said. \u201cThe ones that got pregnant are the ones that were supposed to get pregnant.\u201d<\/p>\n In an August 2021 appearance on The Breakfast Club,\u00a0<\/em>the\u00a0Wild \u2018N Out<\/em> host revealed his views on marriage<\/a> and defended his large and growing family. \u201cJust the idea that a man should have one woman, we shouldn\u2019t have anything. I have no ownership over this person. If we\u2019re really talking about how we coexist and how we populate, it\u2019s about what exchange can we create together? I\u2019ve never really subscribed to that mentality,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n He further defended himself in June 2022 and claimed he is a super \u201cinvolved\u201d and attentive parent<\/a>. \u201cContrary to popular belief, I\u2019m probably engaged throughout my children\u2019s day, more often than the average adult can be,\u201d he told\u00a0Men\u2019s Health<\/em>\u00a0<\/a>for their May-June issue. \u201cIf I\u2019m not physically in the same city with my kids, I\u2019m talking to them before they go to school via FaceTime and stuff. And then when I am [in the same city, I\u2019m] driving my kids to school, like making sure I pick \u2019em up.\u201d<\/p>\n Plus, a person close to the singer revealed to HollywoodLife<\/strong> that the women who have birthed Nick\u2019s children<\/a> are satisfied with the unorthodox situation. \u201cAll the women he has children with are kept in the loop and informed each time he has another baby on the way,\u201d they explained to HollywoodLife<\/strong>\u00a0EXCLUSIVELY<\/a>. \u201cHe has open communication with all of them. Nick has always believed transparency is important.
