Coordinated Lunar Time (LTC) will establish an official time reference to help guide future lunar missions. The US, China, Japan, India and Russia have space missions to the Moon planned or completed.<\/p>\n<p>NASA (and the White House) aren\u2019t the only ones trying. The European Space Agency is also trying to <a data-i13n=\"cpos:2;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.engadget.com\/moon-own-time-zone-esa-113547009.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:make a time zone;cpos:2;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">make a time zone<\/a> outside of Earth\u2019s\u2026 zone.<\/p>\n<p>Given the Moon\u2019s weaker gravity, time moves slightly faster there. \u201cThe same clock we have on Earth would move at a different rate on the Moon,\u201d NASA space communications and navigation chief Kevin Coggins told <em>Reuters<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>You saw <em>Interstellar<\/em>, right? According to <em>Bloomberg\u2019<\/em>s Mark Gurman, one area the company is exploring is personal robotics \u2014 and it started looking at electric vehicles too.
