While discussing the recent allegations<\/a> against\u00a0Diddy<\/strong><\/a>, a source close to the rapper revealed that he was deeply affected by the death of his ex-girlfriend\u00a0Kim Porter<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>in 2018. The insider shared new details about how the rapper, 54, was shaken by her passing in a new report from\u00a0Us Weekly,\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

While speaking to the outlet<\/a>, the source explained what a major impact Kim\u2019s<\/a> death, from lobar pneumonia at 47 in 2018, had on the rapper. \u201cWhen Kim died, it rocked Diddy\u2019s world,\u201d they said. \u201cIt was a massive shock and a turning point. All the other women in his life were playthings. Kim was the real deal. It was all down from there.\u201d<\/p>\n

The insider also explained that the allegations against Diddy and federal raid on his homes have come as a shock to those close to him. \u201cI\u2019m very surprised at how ugly and dark this is,\u201d they told\u00a0Us Weekly.\u00a0<\/em>\u201cWe were close. Something has gone very wrong. This isn\u2019t what he used to be about.\u201d<\/p>\n

Diddy and Kim dated from 1994 to 2007<\/a>, but their relationship was off and on. The Bad Boy Records founder adopted her son from a previous relationship\u00a0Quincy<\/strong><\/a>, 32, and they had three children of their own: son\u00a0\u00a0King<\/strong>, 26, and twin daughters\u00a0D\u2019Lila\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Jessie<\/strong>, both 17.<\/p>\n

In the years since Kim\u2019s death, Diddy has regularly shared tributes<\/a> to her on social media and in performances. While the rapper was facing sexual assault allegations<\/a> in late 2023, he still shared a tribute to her on her birthday. \u201cWe miss you so much Kim! Happy Birthday Beautiful! Love forever,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n

Diddy\u2019s home was raided by federal law enforcement on March 25. Multiple women have come forward accusing him of sexual misconduct. Shortly after the raid, a source told\u00a0NBC News<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>that Diddy\u2019s home was searched, because \u201cthree women and a man have been interviewed by federal officials in Manhattan in relation to allegations of sex trafficking, sexual assault and the solicitation and distribution of illegal narcotics and firearms.\u201d<\/p>\n

Following the search, Diddy\u2019s lawyer\u00a0Aaron Dyer\u00a0<\/strong>released a statement claiming that the rapper was innocent. \u201cThere is no excuse for the excessive show of force and hostility exhibited by authorities or the way his children and employees were treated,\u201d he said, via\u00a0E! News<\/a>.\u00a0<\/em>\u201cThis unprecedented ambush\u2014paired with an advanced, coordinated media presence\u2014leads to a premature rush to judgment of Mr. Combs and is nothing more than a witch hunt based on meritless accusations made in civil lawsuits.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
