If there\u2019s one thing that fans have grown to expect, it\u2019s that\u00a0Jared Leto<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>will have an attention-grabbing outfit each year at the Met Gala!<\/a> The 30 Seconds to Mars frontman\u2019s arrival is always a spectacle, whether he\u2019s wearing something over-the-top or has an eye-popping prop to accompany him. Unfortunately for avid Met Gala watchers though, Jared, 52, will not be attending for the 2024 event.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n

Jared admitted that he will not be able to attend between commitments for his band 30 Seconds to Mars\u2019 European tour and filming\u00a0Tron: Ares<\/em> during an interview with E! News<\/a> <\/em>on the red carpet for the iHeartRadio Music Awards on Monday, April 1.<\/p>\n

As he broke down his busy upcoming schedule, including being \u201cback on the road\u201d for the first time in five years, Jared was asked if he\u2019d be able to attend the annual fashion event. \u201cI\u2019m not going to be there this year, but I\u2019ll be watching from afar,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Despite not being able to attend himself, the rocker admitted that he will keep an eye on the amazing looks with some mementos from years past. \u201cI will be there in spirit with my head and my cat<\/a>, wishing everybody a beautiful night and hoping they raise a lot of money,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n

While it\u2019s a shame that Jared won\u2019t be attending the Costume Institute\u2019s annual benefit, he does sound like he\u2019s having a blast performing with 30 Seconds to Mars.\u00a0 \u201cIt\u2019s incredible. It\u2019s literally like the best thing ever,\u201d he told E! \u201cThere\u2019s something special happening out there. We\u2019ve been doing this for a long time now, and the audiences have just grown. So much passion at the shows. A lot of excitement. They\u2019re just crazy. The shows have been crazy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Even though Jared will be missed on the red carpet for this year\u2019s Met Gala, there are plenty of memorable looks of his to reflect on in his absence. Whether it\u2019s the time he brought a fake severed head<\/a> as a prop, dressed as Karl Lagerfeld\u2019s\u00a0<\/strong>cat, or had a twin join him<\/a> on the red carpet, there are plenty of amazing appearances to look back on.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
