Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi launched<\/a> the entry-level A3<\/a> back in February, and it looks like this month it’s going to come out with a slightly modified version of that phone called Redmi A3x. This has been caught in a database showing its name and two model numbers, one for the Indian market, the other for global markets – so we even know where it will launch.<\/p>\n The Redmi A3x will have the model number 24048RN6CG globally, and 24048RN6CI in India, as “G” and “I” are the suffixes for those markets for Xiaomi, Redmi, and Poco devices.<\/p>\n The “2404” part of the string strongly hints at a launch this month (the fourth of 2024), but don’t take that as a given – there have been cases in the past where the actual launch trails what’s indicated in the model number.<\/p>\n Unfortunately no specs for the Redmi A3x have been outed so far, but given its name, we expect it to be a slightly modified iteration of the already available A3.<\/p>\n The Redmi A3, by the way, comes with a 6.71-inch 90 Hz LCD display, the MediaTek Helio G36 SoC at the helm, 3\/4\/6GB of RAM, 64\/128GB of expandable storage, an 8 MP rear camera flanked by a 0.08 MP decorative lens, a 5 MP selfie snapper, and a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 10W wired charging. It runs Android 14 and the A3x may too.
