Dean McDermott<\/strong><\/a> broke his silence on his divorce from estranged wife Tori Spelling<\/strong><\/a>. The 57-year-old actor\u2019s comment came hours after the Beverly Hills, 90210<\/em> alum, 50, discussed<\/a> her and Dean\u2019s marriage on her \u201cMisspelling<\/a>\u201d podcast.<\/p>\n

\u201cTori and I are good,\u201d Dean said in a video published by Daily Mail<\/em> <\/a>on Monday, April 1. While answering a videographer\u2019s question about him and Tori, the Canada native added that their divorce was a \u201clong time coming\u201d before getting into his car and driving away.<\/p>\n

Just hours beforehand, Tori was seen calling Dean on her podcast to let him know she had officially filed for divorce from him. He didn\u2019t answer her call, so Tori left a voicemail asking Dean to call her, adding that it was \u201cimportant.\u201d Dean called her back a few minutes later while she was still on the air, prompting Tori to explained what had happened.<\/p>\n

\u201cI hate to do this to you while you\u2019re in the middle of you\u2019re going to work and everything. They\u2019ve done it,\u201d Tori explained to Dean on the phone. \u201cIt\u2019s just the formality. It\u2019s like a one sheet you check off and next you\u2019ll have to sign it. You have a lawyer? Wait, it\u2019s going to be spun what way, that I had enough of you? What do you mean?\u201d<\/p>\n

Tori was then heard saying, \u201cIf it\u2019s about that, \u2018Who files first, the other person\u2019s wrong,\u2019 I feel like I deserve to file first then. Well, I mean you basically put it all out there with Daily Mail<\/em>, like you said, everything that you\u2019ve done to me over the years. So, I think it would make perfect sense that it\u2019s followed up that I would file. Those are things I would never have divulged to anybody, and you did.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tori was referring to Dean\u2019s interview<\/a> with the outlet last year, in which he talked about his mistakes as a husband. Despite the uncomfortable phone call, Tori pointed out on her podcast that their marriage \u201cshouldn\u2019t have made it 18 years.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI think he would say the same thing if he and I had a real heart to heart,\u201d she added. \u201cIt would\u2019ve been over a lot sooner.\u201d<\/p>\n

The couple got married in 2006 and share children Beau, Finn, Hattie, Stella and Liam<\/a>. In June 2023, Dean announced via Instagram that he and Tori had split. He then quickly deleted the post later that day. However, the estranged spouses had moved on with different partners, as Dean was spotted with Lily Calo<\/strong><\/a> and Tori was seen kissing Ryan Cramer<\/strong><\/a> in late 2023.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
