Chance Perdomo<\/strong><\/a> had his life ahead of him. The young actor had risen to acclaim thanks to his roles in multiple television series and films. However, the late Los Angeles native died<\/a> on either March 29 or early March 30, 2024, after reportedly driving his motorcycle through Upstate New York on the way to Toronto to begin filming season 2 of Gen V<\/em><\/a>. Perdomo was just 27 years old.<\/p>\n

In a statement obtained by Variety<\/em><\/a>, Perdomo\u2019s publicist confirmed the news of his tragic death.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is with heavy hearts that we share the news of Chance Perdomo\u2019s untimely passing as a result of a motorcycle accident,\u201d the statement read. \u201cAuthorities have advised that no other individuals were involved. His passion for the arts and insatiable appetite for life was felt by all who knew him, and his warmth will carry on in those who he loved dearest. We ask to please respect the family\u2019s wish for privacy as they mourn the loss of their beloved son and brother.\u201d<\/p>\n

The producers behind Gen V<\/em> also released a statement, writing that they couldn\u2019t \u201cwrap [their] heads around\u201d Perdomo\u2019s death.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor those of us who knew him and worked with him, Chance was always charming and smiling, an enthusiastic force of nature, an incredibly talented performer, and more than anything else, just a very kind, lovely person,\u201d the producers wrote in a joint statement. \u201cEven writing about him in the past tense doesn\u2019t make sense. We are so sorry for Chance\u2019s family, and we are grieving the loss of our friend and colleague. Hug your loved ones tonight.\u201d<\/p>\n

Chance Perdomo Was British<\/h2>\n

Though born in L.A., in October 1996, Perdomo was British, having been raised in Southampton, England. He eventually moved to London to pursue acting shortly after graduating from high school.<\/p>\n

He Almost Studied Law<\/h2>\n

Before committing to show business, Perdomo thought about taking up law school, per Variety<\/em>. During high school, he was chosen to be president of the sixth form\u2019s student union, according to multiple outlets.<\/p>\n

Chance Starred in the \u2018After\u2019 Movies<\/h2>\n

After starring in the short films Longfield Drive<\/em> and The Importance of Skin<\/em>, Perdomo landed the role of Lance in the After<\/em> movie series. He appeared in After We Fell, After Ever Happy<\/a><\/em> and After Everything<\/em>. His next posthumous role in Bad Man<\/em> is reportedly in post-production.<\/p>\n

He Earned Multiple TV Roles<\/h2>\n

Apart from movies, Perdomo was also known for his performances in Gen V<\/em> as Andre and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina<\/em> as Ambrose.<\/p>\n

Perdomo\u2019s first major television role came in 2017, earning a recurring character in Hetty Feather<\/em>. In 2018, he was nominated for a BAFTA for Best Actor in a Leading Role for his performance in Killed by My Debt.<\/em><\/p>\n

Chance Died From a Motorcycle Accident<\/h2>\n

Per his publicist\u2019s statement, Perdomo died from a motorcycle collision. The crash occurred in Upstate New York either in the late hours of March 29 or the early morning hours of March 30, 2024, according to Deadline<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
