Jennifer Garner<\/strong><\/a> may be one of Hollywood\u2019s most prolific actresses, but her top priority is her family. The 13 Going on 30<\/em> star, 51, shares her three kids, Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 11,<\/a> with her ex-husband Ben Affleck<\/strong><\/a>. During a new interview, Jennifer opened up about how it\u2019s sometimes \u201chard\u201d for her to allow her kids to make their own choices.<\/p>\n

\u201cI mean, my parents did too, and I\u2019m so amazed by that. I have a really hard time not saying, \u2018This is what I see you as,\u2019 and \u2018I think you should,\u2019 \u201d she told PEOPLE<\/em><\/a> in this week\u2019s issue. \u201cI really have to sit on my hands.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Last Thing He Told Me<\/em> actress also gushed over how proud she is of her growing kids.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m just watching them in this new phase of life where they\u2019re figuring out who they\u2019re going to be and what they\u2019re going to study. And I\u2019m so interested in them,\u201d she said, adding, \u201cAll the time, I\u2019m interested in everything about them.\u201d<\/p>\n

Violet is preparing to go to college, and Jennifer couldn\u2019t help but credit her eldest daughter during a separate November 2023 interview. During an appearance on Live With Kelly and Mark <\/em>at the time, the mom of three praised her daughter for how she\u2019s handled the stress of college prep.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe excitement and stress go hand-in-hand,\u201d Jennifer acknowledged. \u201c[Violet\u2019s] handling it like a champ and she\u2019s totally in charge. She\u2019s a self starter. \u2026 I\u2019m proud of her no matter what.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jennifer and Ben\u2019s kids acclimated themselves to new lifestyles after their parents moved on with their respective partners. Jennifer is now dating John Miller<\/strong>, and Ben, 51, is married to Jennifer Lopez<\/strong><\/a>. Since divorcing in 2018, the Catch Me If You Can<\/em> actress and the Tender Bar<\/em> actor have maintained an amicable co-parenting relationship.<\/p>\n

The Affleck kids have been spotted hanging out with both their mother and their stepmom. Not only that, but they\u2019ve become close with J. Lo\u2019s children, Max and Emme, whom the pop star shares with her ex-husband Marc Anthony<\/strong><\/a>. From simple shopping trips<\/a> to worldwide travels, Violet, Seraphina and Samuel have adjusted to the blended family lifestyle well.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
