Trevi Italian Restaurant, a longtime Strip mainstay, has closed permanently at the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace.<\/p>\n

Our sources at Caesars Entertainment say the restaurant space will be replaced with a two-story retail concept.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s sort of the whole story, but we\u2019re going to add some additional fluff as an excuse to share our incredible photography.<\/p>\n

Trevi in Italian means \u201cthree roads,\u201d or the number of open roads in Las Vegas during F1.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Trevi was part of the Landry\u2019s family of restaurants, the company owned by Tilman Fertitta, who also owns Golden Nugget. Trevi was conceived by the Morton\u2019s Restaurant Group, and was sometimes referred to as \u201cTrevi by Morton\u2019s.\u201d<\/p>\n

Morton\u2019s Restaurant Group was assimilated into Landry\u2019s back in 2011.<\/p>\n

When it opened in 1992, Trevi was called Lombardi\u2019s. Then Morton\u2019s got involved and Lombardi\u2019s became Bertolini\u2019s, then was rebranded Trevi in 2007.<\/p>\n

The restaurant was named Trevi, but was located near the Fountain of the Gods. Here\u2019s a map with the location of the former Trevi.<\/p>\n

You thought the Trevi fountain was in front of Trevi restaurant? Rube! You thought people still use the word \u201crube\u201d? Chawbacon!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

There is a Trevi fountain replica at the Forum Shops, but it\u2019s outside, nowhere near Trevi restaurant.<\/p>\n

Everything is better in Las Vegas.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Trevi was a great spot for people-watching, but we didn\u2019t find the food particularly memorable, for the most part. We haven\u2019t visited for several years. The restaurant got solid reviews<\/a> on Yelp, with 3.9 out of five stars.<\/p>\n

Being drunk wasn\u2019t required, but it certainly didn\u2019t hurt.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The cocktails weren\u2019t memorable, either, so we\u2019re glad we took lots of photos of them at some point.<\/p>\n

There used to be a gelato stand outside. If you swing by, please let us know if that\u2019s going to stay open, as that would make our day.<\/p>\n

Rumor is Trevi closed without notice, which is disappointing to hear, as that tends to create havoc for employees.<\/p>\n

We first heard about the closure from Las Vegas Locally<\/a>, the second best Twitter account in Las Vegas. Locally also scooped us on the looming closure<\/a> of Margaritaville. That\u2019s twice as many times as we\u2019ve been scooped by the Las Vegas Review-Journal in 2024. This is really starting to get annoying.<\/p>\n

We hope you weren\u2019t emotionally attached to Trevi.<\/p>\n

Another Italian restaurant at Forum Shops sort of put Trevi to shame, so give that a go: RPM Italian<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Skip Carmine\u2019s. It\u2019s big on quantity and price, quality not so much.<\/p>\n

Hit The Palm Restaurant (unrelated to the Palms casino) if you\u2019re a chicken parm fan. We see they serve Chicken Parmigiana Sliders for happy hour, too. (At the bar, 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., Sunday through Friday. This just jumped to the top of our must-try list.)<\/p>\n

As for Trevi, it had a very respectable run at Caesars Palace.<\/p>\n

The closure could\u2019ve been handled more delicately, but we trust staff members will land on their feet. If they\u2019ve been in the service industry for any length of time, they\u2019re used to owner and management dumbassery.<\/p>\n

We aren\u2019t a fan of swapping out Italian for shopping, but things move fast in Las Vegas. This is usually where we say, \u201cWhen we get more details, you\u2019ll be the first to know,\u201d but that\u2019s not really true. Shopping is one of the most boring things in Las Vegas, aside from sports and conventions and timeshare sales presentations, so you\u2019re on your own.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
