The Home Depot hosts Free Kids Workshops on the first Saturday of each month (and sometimes even more frequently)!<\/p>\n Check out the upcoming kids workshops:<\/strong><\/p>\n To get in on this fun and free<\/em> event, you will want to register online<\/a> now as spots are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Just scroll down to the \u201cIn-Store Kids Workshops\u201d and click \u201cSign-Up\u201d to register at your local store to see if they still have spots available for the April 6th workshop. Note that the May and June workshops are not currently available for registration, but should become available as the dates get closer.<\/p>\n Do your kiddos play Roblox? They can visit a virtual<\/a> Home Depot Kids Workshop, too!<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n My daughter did this for 5-6 years (lots of pins were collected for her apron). Yes, wet wipes and paper towels are a must to bring along. Also, paint the wood before you build. Yes, the kiddos may want to jump right in, but they turn out much better this way (easier to get all the corners\/small parts). Also, don\u2019t forget to take pictures of the building. These memories last a lifetime! Things might be different at your store. It was a gun and we will definitely be doing it again.<\/em><\/p>\n \u2013 Everything is provided, including the necessary tools \u2013 screwdrivers, hammers, glasses, etc\u2026 Some of them are small for kids and some are bigger for adults to use. My kids went crazy with the hammers, so watch out!<\/em><\/p>\n \u2013 Even though they offer paint and brushes for kiddos also, there were no napkins or paper towels for cleaning hands, clothes, etc\u2026 Bring some of your own wipes, napkins, or whatever, just in case!<\/em><\/p>\n \u2013 There is no set start or stop time. You just show up between 9 AM and noon, go to the designated area\/table and open a kit to begin working. I don\u2019t know how they manage attendance, but there weren\u2019t many kids when we got there, but lots by the time we left. We were never asked our name or checked in on a list either, so you could probably just show up?<\/em><\/p>\n \u2013 The HD staff don\u2019t actually teach or show everyone what to do unless you ask. This is not a guided class or something. The instructions are pretty good for DIY but don\u2019t expect someone to walk you through the entire thing step by step.<\/em><\/p>\n \u2013 The tables got pretty crowded and cluttered with all the tools, parts, and other stuff, so we eventually just went to an open area on the ground nearby.
