Marlon Wayans\u00a0<\/strong><\/a>has been making audiences laugh for decades. Whether it\u2019s on stage as a standup comedian or in one of his many hilarious films, like Scary Movie, White Chicks,\u00a0<\/em>or\u00a0Little Man,\u00a0<\/em>Marlon, 51, always has his audiences in stitches. From 1992 to 2013, Marlon had a long-term relationship with\u00a0Angelica Zachary.\u00a0<\/strong>While the two didn\u2019t get married, they did have two beautiful children:\u00a0Kai\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Shawn.\u00a0<\/strong>In November 2023, Marlon revealed that his older child, Kai, had come out as trans, and he showed tons of support for them.<\/p>\n

In March 2024, Marlon\u2019s ex Brittany Moreland<\/strong> filed a paternity lawsuit against the actor for him to be established as the father of her child, Axl July Ivory Wayans, whom she allegedly welcomed in December 2022. Per Page Six<\/em><\/a>, Marlon slammed her as \u201centitled\u201d for requesting that he receives visitation rights while she gets primary physical and legal custody of the child. Additionally, she requested that he pay for her legal fees and \u201creasonable expenses of pregnancy and birth.\u201d<\/p>\n

In response, Marlon told The Shade Room<\/a>,\u00a0\u201cAll these women having to drag men to court who pay NOTHING towards their children. And here, a woman gets a doctor\u2019s salary and says it isn\u2019t enough? I\u2019ve had two children before this.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kai<\/h2>\n

Angelica gave birth to Kai in May 2000. Marlon revealed that Kai had come out as trans during an interview on\u00a0The Breakfast Club.\u00a0<\/em>\u201cI have a daughter that transitioned into a son. My daughter Amai is now Kai,\u201d he said, via\u00a0<\/a>Us Weekly<\/a>.\u00a0<\/em>\u201cI talk about the transition \u2014 not their transition, but my transition \u2014 as a parent going from ignorance and denial to complete, unconditional love and acceptance.\u201d<\/p>\n

Marlon also revealed that he\u2019s very supportive of Kai, and he revealed that his son\u2019s journey with transitioning was an inspiration for his upcoming comedy special. \u201cThey know I love them,\u201d he said. \u201cThey see me trying, and I\u2019m happy.\u201d<\/p>\n

This isn\u2019t the first time that Marlon has shown support for Kai. Back in 2019, he posted a photo of Kai when he originally came out as a member of the LBGTQ+ community to celebrate Pride Month. \u201cHappy pride to my pride and joy. I wouldn\u2019t change one effing thing about you. Love you to the moon around the sun through the galaxies and back again,\u201d he wrote on Instagram<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Shawn<\/h2>\n

Marlon welcomed his younger child, Shawn, in February 2002. While the comedian has mostly kept his kids out of the spotlight, he has occasionally shared family photos on his Instagram. The\u00a0Scary Movie\u00a0<\/em>star was seen getting into it o<\/a>ver a call at one of Shawn\u2019s high school basketball games, back in 2019. He called out the referees for not calling fouls against his son.<\/p>\n

Marlon has opened up about trying to be more of a friend to his kids in a 2017 interview with\u00a0Entertainment Tonight.<\/a> \u201c<\/em>I stopped being their dad a long time ago. I was like, \u2018We are going to be friends.\u2019 As a dad, I don\u2019t want to be all possessive,\u201d he explained. \u201cI want to be your friend, and I\u2019m going to walk you through it. At a point when they become teenagers, you have to have real conversations. What you don\u2019t want is sneaky kids. \u2018If you tell me what\u2019s poppin\u2019, I can protect you. But don\u2019t come to me after the fact.’\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
