Megan Fox<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s romance with rocker Machine Gun Kelly<\/strong><\/a> has catapulted her back into the spotlight. While the actress, 37, is no stranger to fame and flashing lights, Megan\u2019s usually very private when it comes to her personal life \u2014 specifically her romances. Although she spent most of her career with her ex-husband, actor Brian Austin Green<\/strong><\/a>, Megan has dated a few notable names in Hollywood, including MGK.<\/p>\n

Megan wrote about \u201ccomplicated\u201d relationships in her book of poems, Pretty Boys Are Poisonous<\/em><\/a>. \u201cFor most of us it\u2019s not a fairy tale. Relationships are not pretty. Megan\u2019s high school sweetheart, Ben Leahy<\/strong>, wasn\u2019t the Hollywood-type. Then again, they were just teenagers when they dated, and Megan\u2019s acting career hadn\u2019t taken off at the time. However, Megan only had high praise when she spoke about Ben in a 2009 interview. \u201cHe was very sweet and wonderful, really tall and big with a perfect body, and he was a badass,\u201d she told\u00a0Rolling Stone<\/em>, adding, \u201cI was totally drawn to him.\u201d<\/p>\n

Megan\u2019s short-lived romance with 7th Heaven<\/em><\/a> actor, David Gallagher<\/strong>\u00a0occurred right at the beginning of her acting career. She had just starred as the villain in the Lindsay Lohan<\/strong>-film,\u00a0Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen<\/em>, and everyone wanted to know who Hollywood\u2019s new it-girl was. Megan even brought David along to the New York premiere of the film in February of 2004. They\u00a0called it quits later that year.<\/p>\n

Shia LaBeouf (Mid-2000s)<\/h2>\n

This one\u2019s tricky. It\u2019s unclear exactly when Megan and Shia LaBeouf<\/strong><\/a> dated. Their on-screen chemistry was undeniable in the Transformers<\/em> films, which led to rumblings about a real-life romance between the two. In 2007,\u00a0Megan and Shia starred as powerful couple, Sam Witwicky and Mikaela Banes, battling robots to save the world from mass destruction. They reprised their characters in the film\u2019s 2009 follow-up, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen<\/em>. Shia later returned for the third film in 2011, Transformers: Dark of the Moon<\/em>, however, Megan did not. Instead, model, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley<\/strong> took over as Shia\u2019s new love interest. Bottom line is \u2014 Megan and Shia\u2019s romance occurred sometime in the mid-2000s.<\/p>\n

Shia was the first one to shed light on their relationship. \u201cLook, you\u2019re on the set for six months, with someone who\u2019s rooting to be attracted to you, and you\u2019re rooting to be attracted to them. I never understood the separation of work and life in that situation,\u201d he told Details<\/em><\/a> magazine in 2011. \u201cBut the time I spent with Megan was our own thing, and I think you can see the chemistry onscreen,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Fast-forward seven years, and Megan finally gave her take on the relationship. \u201cUm, I mean, I would confirm it was romantic. I love him,\u201d she said during an episode of Watch What Happens Live\u00a0with Andy Cohen<\/em> in November of 2018. \u201cI\u2019ve never been really private about that. I love him.\u201d When fellow guest, Tyra Banks<\/strong> suggested that Megan and Shia had a \u201cshowmance,\u201d Megan replied, \u201cSure.\u201d<\/p>\n

Either way, Megan and Shia have always been on good terms. Back in 2019, fans reminisced over their on-and-off-screen chemistry when Megan shared a throwback photo<\/a> from the film to Instagram. \u201cOnce upon a time 13 summers ago,\u201d she wrote in the caption of her post.<\/p>\n

Megan and Brian\u2019s tumultuous love story began in 2004. You\u2019ll notice that there\u2019s some overlap in her other romances, because the two had an on-and-off relationship. Things didn\u2019t become permanent until the actor and actress married in June of 2010.\u00a0They went on to welcome two sons<\/a> together \u2014 Noah Shannon<\/strong>\u00a0and Bodhi Ransom<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In April of 2016, Megan and Brian\u2019s marriage went through its fair share of ups and downs, which led to a looming divorce. However, they decided to keep working at their relationship after discovering that Megan was pregnant with their third child, Journey River<\/strong>. They reconciled with a romantic getaway to the Hawaiian Islands, and things seemed to be just fine between Megan and Brian.<\/p>\n

Then, things took a turn in 2020, when \u2014 just before their one-decade wedding anniversary \u2014\u00a0Megan\u00a0was spotted hanging out with Machine Gun Kelly. The actress and musician were photographed together<\/a> on May 14, and then two days later on May 16. Megan wasn\u2019t wearing her wedding ring\u00a0on either occasion. Not to mention, May 16\u00a0happened to be Megan\u2019s 34th birthday. At the same time, Brian was seen with and without his ring<\/a> as well.<\/p>\n

Just days after the photos went public, Brian confirmed the split rumors<\/a> to be true during an episode of his podcast, \u00a0\u2026with Brian Austin Green<\/em>.\u00a0\u201cI will always love her. And I know she will always love me and I know as far as a family what we have built is really cool and really special,\u201d Brian said of Megan, before explaining that they would remain a family. He said they\u2019ll\u00a0\u201cstill do family vacations and holidays as a family and really make that a focus for the kids.\u201d Brian also noted that\u00a0despite the breakup, he would \u201calways love her [Megan]. And I know she will always love me and I know as far as a family what we have built is really cool and really special.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the same episode, Brian addressed Megan\u2019s then-recent photo ops with MGK. \u201cShe met this guy, Colson [MGK\u2019s real name], on set\u2026I\u2019ve never met him\u2026Megan and I have talked about him,\u201d Brian revealed, but clarified \u201cthey\u2019re just friends at this point.\u201d He added, \u201cI trust her judgment, she\u2019s always had really good judgment. I don\u2019t want people to think her or he are villains or that I was a victim in any way.\u201d<\/p>\n

Also in May, Brian discussed Megan\u2019s newfound relationship with MGK even further. \u201cShe said, \u2018You know, I realized while I was out of the country working alone that I feel more like myself, and I liked myself better during that experience, and I think that may be something worth trying for me,\u2019\u201d Brian recalled of a prior conversation with Megan during a separate episode of his podcast<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Naturally, the actor took the news pretty hard. \u201cAnd, I was shocked and I was upset about it,\u201d Brian continued, but added that he \u201ccan\u2019t be upset at her, and I wasn\u2019t upset at her because that\u2019s \u2014 she didn\u2019t ask to feel that way, it wasn\u2019t a choice she made, that\u2019s the way she honestly felt.\u201d Megan filed for divorce from Brian on Nov. 25, 2020, citing \u201cirreconcilable differences\u201d She listed Nov. 2019 as their separation date her court papers, while Brian wrote March 5, 2020 as the day things officially ended between the two.<\/p>\n

Megan moved on from Brian with MGK. Back in May of 2020, Megan and MGK added fuel to the romance rumors when she appeared as his love interest in the music video for his song \u201cBloody Valentine.\u201d Not long after the video\u2019s release, they had their first PDA outing at a Los Angeles bar on June 15. Megan and MGK were photographed kissing and holding hands outside the establishment, and they\u2019ve been inseparable ever since.<\/p>\n

The couple traveled to Puerto Rico together on a work\/vacation trip<\/a>\u00a0[the same one Brian references in his podcast episodes], to film the upcoming crime thriller Midnight in the Switchgrass.\u00a0<\/em>However, production on the film was halted in October of 2020, due to positive COVID-19 tests.<\/p>\n

After they got together, MGK revealed that it was love at first sight<\/a> when he met Megan, who\u2019s even said that the two are \u201ctwin flames<\/a>,\u201d aka, soulmates. When you know, you know! On Nov. 22, the pair made their red carpet debut as a couple at the 2020 American Music Awards, where Megan introduced MGK\u2019s performance by saying, \u201cOnce in a lifetime, magic can happen. But this next performer, we\u2019ve all been under his spell since his debut in 2012.\u201d Then, on Jan. 12, 2022, Megan and Machine Gun Kelly revealed they had gotten engaged! He even proposed with an emerald and diamond ring<\/a> that he helped design.<\/p>\n

Most recently, Megan sparked breakup rumors after the couple attended the 2023 Grammy Awards<\/a> together by posting cryptic messages about \u201cdishonesty\u201d<\/a>, via Instagram on Feb. 12, 2023. In the beauty\u2019s photo dump, she mysteriously included a quote from\u00a0Beyonce\u2019s<\/strong>\u00a0\u201cPray You Catch Me,\u201d a song off her album\u00a0Lemonade<\/em>. \u201cYou can taste the dishonesty, it\u2019s all over your breath,\u201d Megan captioned the post, which also included a clip of a fire burning a letter and other personal items.<\/p>\n

Later, the couple was spotted leaving an apparent couple\u2019s counseling session<\/a> on Feb. 13. And on Feb. 19, Megan denied the rumors<\/a> that her man had cheated on her, via a since-deleted Instagram post. \u201cThere has been no third party interference in\u00a0this relationship\u00a0of any kind,\u201d she wrote in the beginning of the post. \u201cThat includes, but is not limited to\u2026actual humans, DMs, AI bots, or succubus demons. While I do hate to rob you of running random baseless news stories that would have been much more accurately written by ChatGPT, you need to let this story die and leave all these innocent people alone now.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite a source telling\u00a0US Weekly\u00a0<\/em><\/a>on Mar. 22, 2023, that the pair was on a \u201cbreak\u201d, it didn\u2019t appear that way any longer when they were spotted in Hawaii<\/a> on Apr. 3. Ahead of their romantic getaway, the insider told the outlet, \u201cMegan and MGK are currently on a break but are still in contact.\u201d They also called the couple\u2019s situation, \u201cvery hot and cold.\u201d Megan has since deleted all of her Instagram photos and videos, while MGK still has many of their posts up.<\/p>\n

More recently, in May 2023, it was reported that their wedding plans are still on the back burner and that MGK is trying to reconcile with the star. \u201cThey are slowly working on reconciling but he\u2019s totally in the dog house still,\u201d a source told People<\/em><\/a>. \u201cHe\u2019s doing whatever he can to get her back, and she\u2019s making him work for it. It\u2019s still an unhealthy dynamic though, and their friends just don\u2019t see this lasting.\u201d<\/p>\n

In July 2023,\u00a0Us Weekly<\/em><\/a> reported that the couple was back to wedding planning<\/a> after hitting a brief rough patch. \u201cThey\u2019ve had so much success in therapy together,\u201d a source said. \u201cAs they start to trust each other, they\u2019ve been talking about getting married again.<\/p>\n

However, it seemed they hit a rough patch again by the end of the year. PEOPLE<\/em><\/a> reported that they had \u201canother big fight\u201d and were \u201ctrying to work through it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThey have severe trust issues in the relationship,\u201d an insider told the publication in December. \u201cThey\u2019re still on and off.\u201d<\/p>\n

Since the status of MGK and Megan\u2019s engagement was up in the air for months, she confirmed during her March 2024 \u201cCall Her Daddy\u201d podcast interview<\/a> that she and MGK did, in fact, end their engagement but didn\u2019t confirm if they were broken up.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think, as of now, I don\u2019t have a comment on the status of the relationship, per se,\u201d Megan said. \u201cWhat I can say is [he] is what I refer to as being my \u2018twin soul\u2019 and there will always be a tether to him, no matter what. \u2026 I can\u2019t say for sure what the capacity will be, but I will always be connected to him somehow.
