Azealia Banks<\/strong> <\/a>isn\u2019t happy with Beyonc\u00e9<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s upcoming album. The 32-year-old rapper<\/a> penned a lengthy rant about the 42-year-old Grammy winner\u2019s latest creation, Cowboy Carter<\/em><\/a>, calling its cover art an example of \u201cwhite women cosplay\u201d among other accusations.<\/p>\n

\u201cWow, we didn\u2019t even try to put even a little effort into a more artistic title?\u201d Azealia wrote via her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, March 19, across the image of Bey\u2019s latest picture of her country-themed album.\u00a0\u201cSis, I live for Whiteyonce Donatella Bianca Bardot DOWN, but I\u2019m kind of ashamed at how [you] switch from Baobab trees and Black Parade to this literal pick me stuff [sic].\u201d<\/p>\n

Azealia continued, \u201cLike u do lame stuff like bring out some blacklisted white women (Dixie Chicks) at the Country Music Awards. and they would never, ever do the same for you. Ur always sharing ur platform with white women, who are so jealous of you but have such a long history of sabotaging other black careers [sic].\u201d<\/p>\n

After repeating that she feels Bey\u2019s album exemplifies \u201cwhite women cosplay,\u201d Azealia added, \u201cYou\u2019re reinforcing the false rhetoric that country music is a post-civl war art form.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI just wish you would get unobsessed with being boring and pretty all the time,\u201d the \u201c212\u201d artist wrote. \u201cWe want you to be deep and artsy, and avant garden and f**k our heads up, and shift culture and do Tex-merengue-tejano-ton. I just don\u2019t understand all the attention being given from one of the times\u2019 biggest stars to a purposely secluded all-whites club of damn near nobodies who\u2019d never acknowledge you.\u201d<\/p>\n

Azealia then pointed out that Beyonc\u00e9 has shared her platform with artists, such as Lady Gaga, the Dixie Chicks and Shakira, \u201cbut we\u2019re supposed to buy into this falsified victim crap about not being accepted in a genre you\u2019ve dabbled here and there?\u201d<\/p>\n

While noting that Bey\u2019s single \u201c16 Carriages\u201d \u201cdoesn\u2019t even make sense in context,\u201d Azealia concluded her rant by writing, \u201cSis, I\u2019m sorry to rain on your parade, but there\u2019s actually nothing monumental about [your album].\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHad you made a great country song \u2026 going number one should be the headline without the weird race part,\u201d Azealia added. \u201cBut like Kelsea Ballerini and Carrie Underwood have better songs than whatever nauseating little Bey on the prairie stuff is going on.\u201d<\/p>\n

Beyonc\u00e9 has not publicly responded to the rapper\u2019s statements.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
