Olivia Munn<\/strong><\/a> and John Mulaney <\/strong><\/a>have kept their relationship low key since romance rumors first began in May 2021. Reports of the coupling came a few months after John completed a 60-day stint in rehab<\/a>\u00a0in December 2020, and three days after the\u00a0comedian\u2019s rep confirmed that he split<\/a> from his wife. While the timing has raised some eyebrows, there\u2019s no doubt the two Hollywood stars are going from strength to strength as they welcomed their first baby together<\/a> last November. Let\u2019s take a deep dive into Olivia and John\u2019s relationship timeline, which starts all the way back in 2015, below.<\/p>\n

2015: Olivia Gushes about John<\/h2>\n

Olivia and John had a fateful meeting at Seth Meyer\u2019s<\/strong> wedding, where the X-Men<\/em> actress chatted up the Saturday Night Live<\/em> comedian and his then-fianc\u00e9e\u00a0Anna Marie Tendler. <\/strong>We were at a wedding together and I was like, \u2018Oh, my gosh, do you and your fianc\u00e9e want to go have dinner or something and go hang out?\u2019\u201d Oliva told HuffPo<\/em> <\/a>in 2015. \u201cAt first it was cool, and then I kept going up to him at the wedding like, \u2018So, you having fun?\u2019 I was just so obsessed with hanging out with and talking with him.\u201d She said she emailed him, but never heard back. \u201cI might\u2019ve got the wrong email\u2026 probably,\u201d she added. \u201cThat\u2019s what I tell myself.\u201d<\/p>\n

2020: John Enters Rehab, Olivia Sends Him Support<\/h2>\n

In December 2020, John checked himself into rehab for substance use disorder. The comedian has\u00a0long been vocal about his struggles<\/a>\u00a0with drug and alcohol addiction, telling\u00a0Esquire<\/em> in 2019: \u201cI\u00a0drank for attention. I was really outgoing, and then at 12, I wasn\u2019t. I didn\u2019t know how to act. And then I was drinking, and I was hilarious again.\u201d While he was completing the 60-day stint, Olivia tweeted a message of support, writing, \u201cSending SO MUCH love and support to John Mulaney. You got this.\u201d<\/p>\n

2021: He Splits From His Wife of 6 Years<\/h2>\n

A month after he completed his rehab, John\u2019s rep announced he had split from his wife. While John did not release a statement at the time, his estranged wife did. \u201cI am heartbroken that John has decided to end our marriage,\u201d Anna Marie said. \u201cI wish him support and success as he continues his recovery.\u201d<\/p>\n

2021: Olivia & John Are Dating<\/h2>\n

A few days after it was announced John and Anna Marie had broken up, reports confirmed he and Olivia were a love match. While the news brought a mix of responses, Olivia said she wouldn\u2019t address<\/a> the speculative chatter. \u00a0In an interview with the\u00a0Los Angeles Times<\/em> in November of that year, Olivia said she avoided criticisms<\/a>\u00a0so not to \u201cfeed into a narrative that\u2019s just not true.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s definitely not foreign for me to have people speculate incorrectly about things and to have rumors run rampant in one way,\u201d she said. \u201cThey think they know our relationship so well, when in reality, they don\u2019t. There\u2019s no way anyone could know what any of his relationships were or what our relationship is.\u201d She added, \u201cFor whatever reason, it\u2019s easier to blame me. During an appearance on\u00a0Late Night With Seth Meyers <\/em>in September 2021, John tells the host he and Olivia are pregnant. \u201cWe\u2019re having a baby together. I was nervous when I was about to say the news,\u201d John revealed. \u201cI\u2019m gonna be a dad. We\u2019re both really, really happy.\u201d<\/p>\n

In November 2021, Oliva and john welcomed a baby boy<\/a>. They officially announced<\/a> his arrival a month later on Christmas Eve via Instagram, letting fans in on the little tyke\u2019s name as well. \u201cMeet Malcolm Hi\u1ec7p Mulaney,\u201d John wrote in the caption. \u201cHe has his whole life ahead of him. 2022: John & Olivia Celebrate Son\u2019s First Birthday<\/h2>\n

Olivia gushed over her and John\u2019s baby boy\u2019s first birthday celebration by sharing photos to Instagram.<\/p>\n

\u201cJust got back from celebrating ONE YEAR of the most joyful baby being in this world and in our lives. My son, my joy,\u201d she captioned the post. \u201cHappiest Birthday Malcolm Hi\u1ec7p! I love you so so so much.\u201d<\/p>\n

2023: Olivia & John Take a Vegas Trip<\/h2>\n

Olivia and John enjoyed a trip to Sin City with their son. In a hilarious Instagram Stories post at the time, the actress shared a photo of her and Malcolm sitting on the floor and playing with toys.<\/p>\n

2024: John Supports Olivia Amid Cancer Diagnosis<\/h2>\n

In March 2024, Olivia broke the news via Instagram that she had been diagnosed with luminal B breast cancer<\/a> in 2023. She and John kept the news private for one year while she underwent treatments and operations.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn February of 2023, in an effort to be proactive about my health, I took a genetic test that checks you for 90 different cancer genes,\u201d Olivia wrote via Instagram.\u201dTwo months later, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. \u2026 In the past ten months, I have had four surgeries, so many days spent in bed I can\u2019t even count\u2026surprisingly, I\u2019ve only cried twice.\u201d<\/p>\n
