Publisher Sabotage Studios dropped a trailer for the upcoming feature, which has been dubbed Single Player+.<\/p>\n<div class=\"caas-iframe-wrapper\" data-embed-anchor=\"190bf26a-18c4-5476-897a-990cddfb3831\">\n<div class=\"caas-iframe youtube\" style=\"padding-bottom:56%\" data-type=\"youtube\">\n<blockquote data-src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/RnFLiMeV9B8?si=_xmcLrfAlLjlPKOf\"><p><noscript><iframe title=\"Sea of Stars | 3 Player Couch Co-op Teaser\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/RnFLiMeV9B8?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/noscript><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>As you can see, there\u2019s independent traversal for each party member, so long as everyone stays within the same general vicinity. It doesn\u2019t look like one party member will be able to dip out to snag a power up from another map. The trailer doesn\u2019t show combat, but the publisher promises that each player will control their avatar during battles and teased something called \u201cco-op timed hits.\u201d This is likely a two and three-person version of the pre-existing timed hits system, which draws from games like <a data-i13n=\"cpos:2;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.engadget.com\/a-super-mario-rpg-remake-is-coming-to-nintendo-switch-on-november-17th-143909496.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:Super Mario RPG;cpos:2;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \"><em><\/em><\/a> and <em>Paper Mario<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The new mode is currently in development and the publisher hasn\u2019t announced availability information, nor has it said if this will be a free update or paid DLC. It\u2019s a safe assumption, however, that couch co-op will show up on every available platform, including the Switch, PlayStation, Xbox and Steam.<\/p>\n<p>Sabotage Studios also shared a significant milestone today. <em>Sea of Stars<\/em> has racked up an astounding <a data-i13n=\"cpos:3;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/seaofstarsgame\/status\/1767928513569628640\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:five million players;cpos:3;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \"><\/a> since launch. The <em>Chrono Trigger<\/em> vibes are heavy, with gorgeous pixelated graphics and an overworld map that seems plucked straight from the beloved 1995 JRPG. I went into this game highly skeptical, thinking I had grown out of turn-based RPGs. <em>Sea of Stars<\/em> proved me wrong. It\u2019s just so dang charming.
