Emma Stone<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>has proven to be an incredibly versatile actress. Whether she was showing off her comedic abilities early in her career in films like\u00a0Easy A\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Superbad\u00a0<\/em>or delivering Oscar-nominated performances in films like\u00a0Birdman\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0The Favourite. <\/em>Most recently, Emma starred in the\u00a0Yorgos Lanthimos-<\/strong>directed fantasy film\u00a0Poor Things\u00a0<\/em>and the Showtime satire\u00a0The Curse. <\/em>While accepting the award for Best Actress in a Leading Role in 2024, s<\/em>he gave Dave a sweet shout-out in her Oscars<\/a> acceptance speech.<\/p>\n

By her side through many of her more recent career highlights has been her husband\u00a0Dave McCary<\/a>.\u00a0<\/strong>She\u2019s been with the\u00a0Saturday Night Live\u00a0<\/em>director since 2017, but she\u2019s had a handful of other high profile romances in the years before she met her now-husband. Emma met Dave back when she hosted SNL\u00a0<\/em>in 2016. Dave is a segment director for the beloved comedy sketch show. There had been rumors that he\u2019d directed the \u201cWells for Boys\u201d<\/a> skit, and that\u2019s when the two of them really hit it off. A few months later the pair were seen on a date, via\u00a0People<\/a>.<\/em> The director proposed<\/a> to Emma in December 2019. The pair got married<\/a> in September 2020, after three years together. Shortly before tying the knot, the pair also launched their own production company, Fruit Tree.<\/p>\n

Since the pair first started dating, they\u2019ve mostly kept their relationship very private,<\/a> but they have been spotted on a few dates together<\/a> over the years. Nearly one year after getting married, the pair welcomed their first child together in March 2021. Emma gave birth<\/a> to a baby girl,<\/a> a few months after her pregnancy was revealed.<\/p>\n

Though they keep the details about their relationship on the down low, Emma gave her husband a sweet shout-out while accepting her Oscar in March 2024. He also attended the Vanity Fair<\/em> Oscar Party<\/a> with her that evening.<\/p>\n

One of Emma\u2019s first public relationships was with musician\u00a0Teddy Geiger,<\/strong><\/a> who she started seeing in 2017 per People<\/a>. <\/em>She starred alongside the \u201cFor You I Will\u201d singer-songwriter in the 2008 musical comedy The Rocker.<\/em> The pair split up in 2009.<\/p>\n

While Teddy acted in the movie alongside Emma, she\u2019s primarily a musician and songwriter, who has written for major artists like Shawn Mendes, Niall Horan,<\/strong> One Direction, and many more. Teddy came out as a trans-woman in October 2017.<\/p>\n

Kieran Culkin<\/h2>\n

Emma met future\u00a0Succession\u00a0<\/em>star\u00a0Kieran Culkin<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>while they were making the 2009 flick\u00a0Paper Man.\u00a0<\/em>In the movie, they played a couple, and some of the on-screen chemistry clearly carried offscreen. The pair split up in 2011, but they seemed to remain on good terms. They both appeared in the \u201cVeronica\u201d segment of the star-studded 2013 flop Movie 43.\u00a0<\/em>In 2022, the pair also posed for a photo together at the Met Gala, over a decade after they split. Kieran wrapped his arm around his ex for a sweet moment on the red carpet.<\/p>\n

After her split from Kieran, Emma connected with\u00a0Andrew Garfield<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>while they were filming\u00a0The Amazing Spider-Man\u00a0<\/em>in 2011. Andrew played the web-slinging Peter Parker and Emma played the love interest Gwen Stacy. They reprised their roles in the 2014 sequel. At that time, Andrew also hosted\u00a0SNL,\u00a0<\/em>and Emma made a surprise appearance during his monologue. The pair<\/a> made quite a few public appearances together during their relationship, which ended in 2015.<\/p>\n

Despite their breakup, they both appeared to be very supportive of one another. Emma called\u00a0The Social Network\u00a0<\/em>star \u201csomeone I still love very much\u201d in a 2016\u00a0Vogue<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>interview. Andrew named the actress as the one person he\u2019d want to be stuck on a desert island with in a 2016 interview with\u00a0The Hollywood Reporter.<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>\u201cShe\u2019s all right. Even though there were occasional reunion rumors<\/a> and the pair continued to support one another, they never formally got back together. Andrew did reveal that they were still relatively close while promoting his appearance in\u00a0Spider-Man: No Way Home<\/em> in 2022. He said that Emma had pressed about him making a surprise appearance<\/a> in a Happy Sad Confused\u00a0<\/em><\/a>podcast interview. \u201cEmma kept on texting me. She was like, \u2018are you in this new\u00a0Spider-Man\u00a0<\/em>film?\u2019\u201d he said. \u201cAnd I was like, \u2018I don\u2019t know what you\u2019re talking about.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
