Bradley Cooper<\/strong><\/a> is such a huge Hollywood heavyweight that he could certainly have his pick for a date to Tinseltown\u2019s biggest events. However, the Oscar-nominated actor and director has chosen to have his mother, Gloria Campano<\/strong>, on his arm more than once for the Academy Awards<\/a>, including in 2024. Gloria is such a shining star herself that she often takes over the red carpets as the main attraction!<\/p>\n

That adorableness was never more apparent than in the Super Bowl commercial<\/a> they did for T-Mobile in 2023. The two starred opposite each other, and while they weren\u2019t able to get the script right, the results were still hilarious.<\/p>\n

Where Is Gloria From?<\/h2>\n

Gloria was born in America to parents of Italian descent. She welcomed Bradley back on January 5, 1975, in Abington Township, near Philadelphia. At the time, she worked as a newscaster for the NBC affiliate in the town. A few years earlier, Gloria gave birth to Bradley\u2019s only sibling, sister Holly<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

She Once Got A Shout Out At The Oscars From Julia Roberts<\/h2>\n

Gloria accompanied Bradley to the 2019 Academy Awards. After presenting Green Book<\/em> with the Best Picture gong, Julia Roberts<\/strong> closed out the event with a special shoutout to Gloria. \u201cWell, apparently, that wraps up the 91st Academy Awards,\u201d the Pretty Woman star said with a laugh. \u201cI would like to say congratulations to all the nominees, and good night to Bradley Cooper\u2019s mother and my children, and thank you for watching.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bradley Kept Gloria Safe During The Pandemic<\/h2>\n

Back in August 2020, Bradley opened up about taking care of Gloria and his daughter\u00a0Lea De Seine<\/strong>, whom he shares with ex <\/a>Irina Shayk<\/strong>, during the early stages of the pandemic in New York City. \u201cI\u2019m with my daughter and my mother and my two dogs, and we have not left the house,\u201d he shared at the time to Interview<\/em><\/a>. \u201cMy mother is going to be 80, and she has a colostomy bag, so I can\u2019t let anybody in the house. And I can\u2019t leave the house, because if she gets it, it\u2019s over.\u201d <\/span>He added, \u201cWe live in a little townhouse, thankfully there\u2019s a backyard. I\u2019m running a one-man preschool. We get up, we do swim class in the bathtub.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

She Became Bradley\u2019s Roommate After Her Husband Died<\/h2>\n

Gloria\u2019s husband and Bradley\u2019s father, Charles Cooper,<\/strong> passed away in 2011 after a long battle with lung cancer. \u201cI was in a very lucky position because I was able to put everything on hold in all aspects of my life and completely focus on taking care of him,\u201d Bradley said at the Parker Foundation\u2019s launch of the Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy in 2016.<\/p>\n

After Charles\u2019 death, Bradley had Gloria move in with him so they could help each other heal, although it was a difficult process at times. \u201cMy family is very close, and my dad dying was brutal for all of us,\u201d he told Details<\/em> in 2013, per People<\/em><\/a>. \u201cIt was a schism, and its aftershock has not stopped. And we need each other. So here we are. <\/span>We\u2019re surviving. Both of us. Let\u2019s face it: It\u2019s probably not easy for her, by the way, to be living with her son. It\u2019s life.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Gloria Was A Consultant On One Of Bradley\u2019s Films<\/h2>\n

Gloria is well-known as a QVC aficionado. When Bradley made 2015\u2019s\u00a0Joy\u00a0<\/em>with Jennifer Lawrence<\/strong>, his mom was asked to advise, as the story revolves around Joy Mangano<\/strong>, who made a fortune selling mops on the Home Shopping Network. \u201c[Gloria] actually was a consultant for [Director] David [O. Russell] on the movie when he was conceiving it because she\u2019s a huge disciple of QVC,<\/em>\u201d Bradley told E!<\/em> <\/a>at the time of the film\u2019s debut. How cute!<\/p>\n
