Our infrastructure is often built in a way to try and get rid of rainwater as fast as possible. And yet, when it doesn\u2019t rain, drought rears up its head.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Across the past decades and in many regions, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.carbonbrief.org\/explainer-what-climate-models-tell-us-about-future-rainfall\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">precipitation has been steadily decreasing<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and we don\u2019t seem to have a good solution for it. While we expect water to be readily available; on our beaches and in our cups, most of us are not willing to engage with its demands.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To understand our relationship to water,\u00a0 <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurozine.com\/the-invisible-price-of-water\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">we must go beyond the tap.<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> That is, at least, if we have the privilege of accessing water. style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Amelie Schlemmer is a textile artist and co\/founder of <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hybriddessous.com\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hybrids Dessous<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, a sustainable fashion brand creating hybrids suitable on both land and water.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jakub Sigmund is a Bratislava-based researcher and the project manager of <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.broz.sk\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">BROZ<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight:
