Drea de Matteo<\/strong><\/a>, 52, is one of the many celebrities who have joined OnlyFans<\/a> in recent years. After joining the subscription-based social media site in 2023, Drea quickly realized how lucrative the decision was. The\u00a0Desperate Housewives<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>alum recently opened up about her OnlyFans account during a February 27 interview with the\u00a0Daily Mail<\/em> and revealed that it \u201csaved\u201d her family.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt saved us,\u201d Drea told the outlet in the new interview<\/a>. \u201cOnlyFans saved my life, 100 percent. I can\u2019t believe I\u2019m saying that, but it really did save us.\u201d The actress, who is also known for her work on\u00a0The Sopranos<\/em><\/a>, also claimed that when she joined the website<\/a> she only had $10 in the bank. \u201cAnybody that wants to condemn me and put me down, go for it,\u201d the 52-year-old quipped. \u201cI just hope you never find yourself in the position I was in to take care of two little kids<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Not only did Drea\u2019s new online career<\/a> pay for her mortgage, but it also helped fund her new business. \u201cIt saved my home of many years that was very important to us,\u201d the proud mom explained. \u201cAnd beyond all that, it has given me enough money to start up and finance ULTRAFREE.\u201d Furthermore, the New York native revealed that she was dealing with other family matters along with the foreclosure of her home.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey put me into foreclosure and my house had flooded, so I was trying to sell the house quickly,\u201d Drea told the tabloid. \u201cI wanted to try and sell it before they took it. At the same time, I lost my mom, and my other mom, who has dementia<\/a>, had run out of money for her caregiver. I didn\u2019t know which way was up.\u201d After the blonde bombshell began sharing sexy photos<\/a> online, she was able to payoff the debt in minutes. \u201cI was like, holy s***. In five minutes, I was able to pay back compass real estate who kept the sale of my house,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Although Drea was initially reluctant to join OnlyFans, she now enjoys it. \u201cIt feels good to see those photos,\u201d she gushed. \u201cThey might be touched up here and there but the truth is they videotape me going live when we do the photoshoot so fans can see the photo shoot happening in real time. For the most part I look good.\u201d Drea shares two children<\/a> with her ex, Shooter Jennings<\/strong>, including Alabama Gypsyrose<\/strong>, 16, and her son, Waylon<\/strong>, 12.<\/p>\n

This isn\u2019t the first time that Drea has opened up about using the platform to make money either, as she spoke about it during an interview with\u00a0Fox News Digital<\/em>\u00a0<\/a>in September 2023. \u201cI know some people have\u00a0said some nasty things\u00a0about me having\u00a0joined OnlyFans,<\/a>\u201d Drea said at the time. \u201cBut, you know, the way we see it in this house is mommy\u2019s a warrior, not accepting defeat.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
