It allowed those who&#8217;ve already been paying through Apple to keep their payment preference, though, and <a data-i13n=\"cpos:3;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/meganNwalsh\/status\/1761565345658089752\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:at least one person;cpos:3;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">at least one person<\/a> said they were still enjoying the service&#8217;s $10-a-month price until they got booted off their grandfathered pricing.<\/p>\n<p>The company <a data-i13n=\"cpos:4;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.engadget.com\/netflix-axes-its-10-basic-plan-in-the-us-and-uk-123350885.html?_fsig=xPBCMy_xhZXdeD2qZqbWgQ--%7EA\" data-ylk=\"slk:killed its $10 basic plan;cpos:4;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">killed its $10 basic plan<\/a> in the US and the UK last year, which used to be its cheapest ad-free option in the regions. After a <a data-i13n=\"cpos:5;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.engadget.com\/netflix-jacks-price-of-its-premium-plan-up-to-23-a-month-201116571.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:price increase;cpos:5;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">price increase<\/a> a few months following that event, new customers have had to pay at least $15.49 to get a viewing experience that&#8217;s not interrupted by ads. The ad-supported option now sets them back $7 a month, while the Premium tier that comes with support for four devices and Ultra HD now costs subscribers $23.
