So you can mow down hellspawn just ahead of mowing down errant blades of grass.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s the deal. It\u2019ll only be available on the company\u2019s Automower Nera robotic lawn mower models, beginning this April. Once downloaded, you play the game via the lawn mower\u2019s onboard display. Rotating the control knob turns Doomguy left and right and pressing the knob makes you shoot. Holding down the start button initiates forward movement. It\u2019s <em>Doom.<\/em> You know the drill.<\/p>\n<div class=\"caas-iframe-wrapper\" data-embed-anchor=\"c464ccc7-87bf-5b4b-b6c5-0d80530a803f\">\n<div class=\"caas-iframe youtube\" style=\"padding-bottom:56%\" data-type=\"youtube\">\n<blockquote data-src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/lp3X4IL4_UA?si=PtPbUliGtTKoxNOO\"><p><noscript><iframe title=\"Play DOOM on Husqvarna Automower\u00ae\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/lp3X4IL4_UA?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/noscript><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>There are some caveats here. First of all, you have to sign up to download the software by September 9. It won\u2019t be available for US residents, despite Husqvarna <a data-i13n=\"cpos:2;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dirtrider.com\/photo-galleries\/ktm-husqvarna-gasgas-usa-headquarters-gallery\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:making a concerted effort;cpos:2;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \"><\/a> to sell more robot lawn mowers in the United States. Finally, this is just the game running on the onboard display. It\u2019s not as if the mower turns your yard into an actual level, with unwanted greenery representing demonic enemies. Still, it\u2019s always nice to see <em>Doom<\/em> continue to do its thing.<\/p>\n<p>The idea to make the shooter available to lawn mower enthusiasts came after a successful test run at the <a data-i13n=\"cpos:3;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/dreamhack.com\/stockholm\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:gaming event DreamHack Winter 2023,;cpos:3;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \"><\/a> which was held in Sweden last December. This is just the latest example of <em>Doom<\/em> popping up where it shouldn\u2019t.
