Built with <a href=\"https:\/\/readwrite.com\/google-pauses-geminis-ai-image-generation-features-to-fix-historical-inaccuracies\/\">AI capabilities<\/a>, this new feature is an improved version of the \u2018spot fix\u2019 tool.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Announced on Thursday (Feb. 22) on the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.windows.com\/windows-insider\/2024\/02\/22\/windows-photos-gets-generative-erase-and-recent-ai-editing-features-now-available-on-arm64-devices-and-windows-10\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Microsoft Windows blog<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the team has shared how you can now \u201cfix and remove distractions from your photos, like background objects and miscellaneous visual clutter.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Compared to the previous version, this update is said to create a more \u2018seamless and realistic result.\u2019 Other recent releases include the ability to blur or completely replace the background with AI. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This feature is to be rolled out to <a href=\"https:\/\/readwrite.com\/the-first-users-of-microsofts-ai-bot-ask-if-its-worth-the-money\/\">Window Insiders<\/a> this week across all channels. The current Photos app AI edit features are now available for Windows 11 for Arm64 devices too.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For the first time, Windows 10 will be receiving all of the AI editing features that were previously only available on Windows 11, including the blur background, remove and replace background, and Generative Erase.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">General improvement and various stability fixes have also taken place within this update which is version number 2024.11020.21991.0.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It\u2019s not yet known whether the use of the AI tools will be marked or come with metadata to highlight them from unedited images.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">How to use Generative Erase in Windows<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To use the tool, bring up a photo and look for the \u2018edit image\u2019 button.
