In January, Engadget\u2019s Sam Rutherford reported that <a data-i13n=\"cpos:2;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.engadget.com\/samsungs-new-galaxy-ai-features-are-coming-to-the-s23-and-last-years-foldables-210046981.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:the AI suite would soon be available;cpos:2;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">the AI suite would soon be available<\/a> on the <a data-i13n=\"cpos:3;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.engadget.com\/samsung-galaxy-s23-ultra-review-specs-price-photo-and-video-take-center-stage-140034341.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:Galaxy S23 series;cpos:3;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Galaxy S23 series<\/a>, Z Fold 5, Z Flip 5 and Tab S9. Today\u2019s announcement makes that device list official while adding the more specific arrival window of late March 2024.<\/p>\n<p>That group of 2023 devices will receive a software update next month with the <a data-i13n=\"cpos:4;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.engadget.com\/samsungs-annual-profits-continued-to-decline-in-2023-090500640.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:AI features from the S24 series;cpos:4;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">AI features from the S24 series<\/a>. Those include communication-based AI tricks like Chat Assist (adjusts message tone and translates messages), Live Translate (real-time voice and text translations) and Interpreter (split-screen translation for in-person conversations).<\/p>\n<p>They\u2019ll also get the productivity-based AI features <a data-i13n=\"cpos:5;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.engadget.com\/galaxy-s24-and-pixel-8-owners-can-soon-search-for-anything-by-drawing-a-circle-around-it-180029757.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:Circle to Search;cpos:5;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Circle to Search<\/a> (search for anything on your screen by drawing a ring around it), Note Assist (formatting, summaries and translations of notes), Browsing Assist (summaries of news articles) and Transcript Assist (transcribe and summarize meeting recordings).<\/p>\n<p>Finally, image-based AI features coming to those devices include Generative Edit (reframe shots, move subjects around or delete and replace them), Edit Suggestion (recommended image tweaks), and Instant Slow-Mo (generate extra frames to transform a standard video into a slow-motion one).<\/p>\n<figure class=\"caas-figure\">\n<div class=\"caas-figure-with-pb\" style=\"max-height: 576px\">\n<div>\n<div class=\"caas-img-container caas-img-loader\" style=\"padding-bottom:60%\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"caas-img caas-lazy has-preview\" alt=\"Photo of the Galaxy S24 Ultra in someone\u2019s hand.
