Simu Liu<\/strong>, 34, is a talented actor from Canada who caught his biggest break yet by landing the starring role in 2021\u2019s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings<\/a>.\u00a0<\/em>He also carved out a prominent space in television, starring as Jung Kim in beloved CBC Television\u2019s sitcom Kim\u2019s Convenience,\u00a0<\/i>was named among Time\u2019s 100 most influential people in the world in 2022, authored a memoir called We Were Dreamers<\/em>, and appeared in one of 2023\u2019s most talked about movies \u2014 Barbie<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

On Sunday, February 18, the actor comes into his own as he\u2019s set to host the People\u2019s Choice Awards<\/em><\/a> from the iconic Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Los Angeles. Behind the scenes, Simu has enjoyed a romance with Allison Hsu<\/strong> since late in 2022, and they appear to be going strong. When Did Simu and Allison Begin Dating?<\/h2>\n

Simu and Allison began dating sometime in 2022, with the couple going Instagram official on November 20, 2022. Allison took to Instagram to share a pic of the newly minted couple smiling at the camera at a concert. Both appeared to be glowing with happiness, and Allison captioned the pic with a simple smiley-face emoji. Simu later shared a post with his new leading lady on December 2 as the couple attended the Violent Night<\/em> premiere in L.A.<\/p>\n

Allison Works as a Digital Marketing Director for Interscope<\/h2>\n

Allison\u2019s no stranger to Hollywood. According to Forbes<\/a><\/em>, she\u2019s been working as a digital marketing director at Interscope Records since March of 2023. That means she gets to handle digital and social media efforts for major recording artists including Lady Gaga<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0Billie Eilish<\/strong><\/a>, and FINNEAS<\/strong>, among others.<\/p>\n

\u201cSpearheading campaigns across TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube, Allison maximizes the 200M+ global social footprints of artists like Eilish and Gaga through strategic digital advertising, custom AR lenses and website builds, and intricate teasing and launch campaigns,\u201d her job description on Forbes reads.\u00a0Allison was named one of the outlet\u2019s 30 Under 30 in the music industry in 2022.<\/p>\n

She Interned at Major Fashion Houses<\/h2>\n

According to the China Morning Post<\/em>, before her gig at Interscope, Allison held public relations internships at Jimmy Choo <\/strong>and Georgio Armani<\/strong>. She also interned at Interscope in 2017 as she completed her studies at UCLA, before working her way up the ladder to her current position.<\/p>\n

Allison\u2019s a Swiftie<\/h2>\n

Simu and his beautiful girlfriend were among the lucky who were issued an invite to Taylor Swift\u2019s Era\u2019s Tour Movie<\/em> premiere<\/a> on October 11, 2023 at The Grove in Los Angeles. \u00a0\u201cI was freaking out,\u201d Simu later told Jimmy Kimmel<\/strong><\/a> of the experience of sitting just in front of Taylor. \u201cAllison was apoplectic.\u201d<\/p>\n
